Ask yourself which party are you talking about? In this post you are pointing a finger at the democrats, who I think are correctly viewing this latest statement from Trump with a degree of accuracy. He's a proven corrupt deceiver who is still clever enough to know how to instigate violence. That's a given. The MAGA Republicans have not drawn up or announced a platform since 2016, choosing to support, reject, or deny whatever Trump declares.
Since Trump's hostile takeover of the GOP he leads a party intimidated into to supporting him out of fear and cowardice. The members of the party, now known as the MAGA party, follow his lead, even projecting their own deceptions onto democrats. This is but one of their warped planks.

Full of cautionary contraindications, no doubt.

He had been talking about the economy and the auto industry, but his reference to a bloodbath went far beyond just autos.

Trump Says Some Migrants Are ‘Not People’ and Predicts a ‘Blood Bath’ if He Loses

The context of the quote shows you are clearly wrong. He was not using the phrase in a literal sense. He was talking about global competition in the auto industry and using hyperbolic language to describe what Biden would do to the domestic auto industry if he wins.

This from a fanboi of the defeated sexual assaulter who uttered more than 30K lies during his tenure. Get outta here with that stuff. Introspection is severely lacking

Biden is a union guy, he’s not going to “do” anything to the domestic auto industry. We know he’s in favor of some degree of subsidies on hybrids and EV’s. As a leftist, he is likely predisposed to slap protectionist tariffs on Chinese auto imports as well. Probably not 100% taxes as comrade Trump suggests. You can’t out commie a commie.

@lacuna clearly you are blinded by your hate for Trump. The context is 100% clear here, and anyone claiming Trump was calling for mass slaughter if he loses is a slanderer if they keep repeating that accusation once they hear the context:

Y'all keep bringing up this "Blood bath" on Jan 6th in your posts and linked articles......What Blood bath do you speak of the one where one person died from a police officers gun shot and one person died of a heart attack?

Wouldn't it make more sense to make your comments about the actual Bloodbath that began on May 26th 2020 and went on for months costing dozens of lives and a couple billion $ property damage.......Now there is a Bloodbath.

He used the phrase while speaking about global competition, but it was parenthetical, a typical off topic aside often heard when he speaks off the cuff as he often does. I've no doubt he intended it to be a threat. He is a dangerous man.

Obviously, I didn't mention Jan. 6. Just pointed out what Trump actually said. And it wasn't only about the auto industry.

Not a fan boi. I would prefer another candidate. I'm more in the Mike Pence camp. I would not endorse him, but I am evaluating whether or not I will vote for him. The DNC is willing to subvert justice when dealing with high profile political enemies and political allies. A full orbed analysis for Trump is complex because he is an immoral person, but the DNC is also as corrupt as any political party we've ever seen in the history of the country. So, you have to comb through the DNC and MSM's lies, while also finding the legitimate points where Trump is corrupt.

Pointing out DNC and MSM foul play is not the same thing as declaring Trump as righteous.

Contrary to your assumption, I don't "hate" Trump. I feel sorry for him as I would for anyone who is as deluded as he. I don't hate people, but I hate the destructive forces unleashed by him and the people who are deceived and deluded by his rampant malignant narcissism. He is a scourge and we are all his victims.

Correct but the article you linked sure did. Here is a quote from your NYT article. “He wants another January 6, but the American people are going to give him another electoral defeat this November because they continue to reject his extremism, his affection for violence, and his thirst for revenge,” said James Singer, a spokesman for the Biden campaign.

J6 is definitely being thrown around by the media and folks on message boards in an effort to make what he said sound as bad as possible.

That is an extremely uncharitable interpretation of someone else's words that have a pretty clear alternative interpretation that fits the context in which the statement was made like a glove, but it sounds like you've poured concrete on your decision to do that.

Actually, it was thrown around by the spokesman for the Biden campaign. I assume he was quoted correctly as was Trump. So I'm not sure what you're trying to do ... excuse what Trump said because some guy you never heard of mentioned Jan. 6?

No what I am saying is Jan 6 is being thrown around by the left & the media to make the word Bloodbath sound like Trump is calling for everybody to riot. I mean saying "He wants another Jan 6" Is kind of stretching the truth a bit don't you think? I am also saying Jan 6 was not the Bloodbath people are claiming, May 26 and the following events were though.

Trump often uses language that is susceptible to different interpretations. That sort of coded language, mob-boss ambiguity, and dog whistles offer a lot: red meat, implied threats, plausible deniability, gaslighting, a lot of free publicity, and distractions. It’s entirely intentional IMO.

Maybe. Trump could have been alluding to violence. Hard to say. But it wasn’t my impression he was talking about violence.
