Yeah, he battled and held them to 1 earned run WITHOUT his best stuff. Looked to me like he was flying open on a lot of his walks and missing high arm side. Yet he got through it.
Top of the 7th Slater sits and #22 Jr RHP Neely comes in (6.00, 0-0, 12.0 IP) B/B/K/B/Ks/B - LaViolette walks - crowd is unhappy
Man on 1B / 0 outs B/F/F/F/B/F/B/Ks - Montgomery goes down swinging. Garrison guns down another one at 2B
We’re traveling so no watching but from the radio broadcast he was missing high armside in the earlier innings—and that is typically front side flying open too early creating arm side drag so I would say you’re spot on @ursidman.
Cags was solid. Technically speaking, he may have been a little off, but when you give up one earned run against one of the best teams in the country, you are excellent!!
No argument there, I really like his grit—I was referring to the 5 walks, that tends to make it tougher on yourself.
No one on / 2 outs New Earl is #34 Jr RHP Stewart (0.00, 1-0, 8.2 IP) F/Ks/B - Jac singles to right and is thrown out at 2B 0/0/0/0 Tied at 2
