Kugel today

With as poorly as some of our guys played in the first half it was surprising to not see him get some minutes.

 

Got to assume he was injured in some capacity

 

Seems like CTG just likes to go with what’s working and I don’t blame him. You couldn’t take Aberdeen out of the game, so there wasn’t a need for Kugel. What I like about Kugel is he doesn’t seem to be pissed that he doesn’t play or go on social media and have a tantrum. Seems like if the team is doing good, he is fine with how it goes and cheering on his teammates.

 

I saw him cheering the guys on and looking very happy at the end of the game. Npo idea why he didn't get any minutes but love his attitude.

 

I think we need to spread some minutes around if we can - will be 4th game in 4 days (3 for Auburn) so might have helped to go deeper into the bench. Legs/fatigue could be an issue tomorrow. Hope not. But…if we don’t have more than 8 ready to play just got to roll with what you have.

 

Coach said in post game that DA had earned the right to be the first guard off the bench today. Kinda hard to not keep him in there with the game he had.

Kugel was genuinely happy for DA.

 

Looked healthy and happy.

No mention of his name by Sean and Hump.

Maybe done a boo boo between end of Bama and tip off today.

 

Very strange as to not hear a word from Sean Kelly and Lee Humphrey throughout the entire broadcast about Kugel. Something must have happened and they were most likely in on the secret. Questions should have been asked...

 

We're all rooting for him! I'd imagine as frustrated as we are, he is even more so. His attitude will help him progress.

Came here to say that. He was going crazy after Aberdeen’s shots and Clayton’s 4-point play.

 

Agree but let’s wait until after the game tomorrow to find out what’s the deal. IMO he has played horribly on defense lately and seemed to be trying to set a record for bad shots/turnovers.
His replacement stole the show today which is great news going forward.

 

I think he was in there early. Didn’t do much but maybe turned the ball over. We need him to show up on the floor. We got plenty of cheerleaders.

Win three straight in the tourney, make it to the final, Kugel’s replacement is our leading scorer, but this should have been the issue?

 

kugel must have gotten into the doghouse, but he had good bench presence and well rested. Hope he goes off for 25 tomorrow
