Thank God for that! Down 18 points it’s hard to argue we had our heads in the game. Great resilience and refocus.
Aw, CRAP. I left the game knowing it was over and 1) we would have fresh legs for the real tourney and 2) I had the Sunday off to do whatever what I wanted to do. What are we going to do in the tourney with dead legs? And what in the H__L am I going to give up tomorrow? Dammit!!!
One more win and I'll be buying my SEC champs shirt celebrating. Got my tickets for our game in Nashville already. Let's keep it rolling! Go Gators!
I'd like to revisit the conundrum theory from @akaGatorhoops ... and say he was right. There were concerns. We had to become a different team. It feels like, right around that point, some things changed. Obviously: Kugel. Kinda-obviously: the confidence in Condon/Haugh. Then today, the confidence in DA. While his team-leading 20 points gets the attention, it might have been his second-half defense on IV that drove the decision.
Sometimes, head coaches know things we may not know; I doubt he thought Aberdeen would bust out like he did but he was needed to play defense and spell the guards.
After hearing the announcers on Tv the first half if I didn't know better I would have thought they were undefeated and unbeatable. And of course have the best coach to ever coach basketball.
