All three catchers are serviceable, but one is hitting . 167/2 2B/0 HR/2 RBI, one is hitting .237/1 2B/2 HR/ 2 RBI, one is hitting .288/5 2B /4 HR /18 RBI. Many catcher skills a subtle and fly by most fans, including me, but the only poor catcher play I've seen this year has been by opponent catchers. The bigger problem I perceive is at DH. Other the Jac and Heyman, this season's guys generally haven't fulfilled the H part of DH. Until the young pitching staff matures and develops consistency, we need all the hitting we can find. Since the season started, I have not seen any performance outside of games, but I'd like it if there were a few DH auditions. For that matter, Robertson and Guy both are hitting well enough that one of our four top OF could slide to DH: Shelnut? That would leave only Thomas, at .200, hitting below Robertson at .275. I won't point out that in limited action, Albert is hitting .300. My regular disclaimer is that I gladly yield to Sully's judgment on all of these decisions. He consistently outperforms other quality coaches, not to mention me and other fans.
