it’s not like I have to guess. Your ilk is quite vocal in articulating their non thoughts. Presumably they get there from listening to Faux news, AM talk radio, whacked out MAGA evangelical leaders and neo Nazi white supremacists.

Fani Willis is her own worst enemy. Everything that’s happened to her is a direct result of her actions or inactions. I believe her problem is she thinks she is above the law and has no accountability to anyone. That’s not uncommon in her vocation.

The history books will document botched prosecutions and the very successful delay strategy employed to push it all past the election. If he is elected, that strategy will be shown to have been a smashing success as it all will truly go away, whether it be state or federal cases. There is no way a sitting potus will be tried or sentenced, even if he is convicted.
The only downside for him is if he loses the election, then he may get hammered in these court cases if the juries vote to do so.

Georgia needs to seriously beef up the ethics and standards of conduct policies and laws.

First we have an elected official (let’s say her name is Fani, who has to campaign on a promise that she will not be laying pipe with any of her subordinates. Must be some questionable history here somewhere.

Now we Fani sharing her fanny with a local attorney who has little to no prosecutorial experience. No issue there. Probably thousands of instances just like this all over the country. But then Fani hires said attorney (again with little to no prosecutorial experience ) to investigate an extremely high profile case. Well now things start to smell a little fishy (no pun intended) to the insiders in Georgia’s prosecutor’s circles. More than just a fishy smell, it smacks of favoritism and insulting to her staff which I assume do have significant prosecutorial experience.

Said attorney (again with little to no prosecutorial experience) is given and expense account. Other than Wade’s credentials, again no issue here. I’m sure all prosecutors and investigators have expense accounts to some degree or another.

Then it is found out that Fani is sharing her Fanny with said attorney ( again with little to no prosecutorial experience) on get-aways at times and to locations that have no bearing on the case whatsoever that are (get this) charged to the said attorney’s (who again; has little to no prosecutorial experience) expense account, where Fani(hopefully) benefitted from the agenda of the trip.

Wow, that is a lot of mental masturbation needed for you libbies to defend/justify.

I generally go by judge’s rulings until an appeal court says otherwise, but if this is not illegal then Georgia has some serious issues with its laws. Maybe they let Vince Dooley write them(he kept UGA out of the dog house and he was doing everything Pell did and more).

This is a pretty clear case of Fani embezzling funds indirectly to benefit( again;hopefully) her own personal pleasure.

Most, if not all corporations (you know the evil ones that rip everyone off). Would have terminated anyone they found to be doing anything remotely close to this once it was made public.

She, and you democrats/ libs have some pretty big stones to talk about anyone acting above the law.

Not nearly as big as the stones on anyone who supports Trump and/or the modern day Republican party lecturing others about ethics and standards.

Let’s put aside the histrionics and get to the heart of the issue, which from a legal standpoint does not involve whether or not Willis is an idiot (which she is).

Prosecutors can be disqualified or removed IN GA when there is a conflict of interest that adversely impacts the defendant. Fani getting laid in Aruba does not.

That’s the only thing this case was about. Period. Full stop. Not whether she violated ethics standards, or a campaign promise, or any statutes, ordinances or laws. If she did she will (and should) be held accountable for those separately (and I believe there are already one ir two hearings scheduled).

And it’s funny that you’ve convicted her of “embezzling” when the judge who sat in the courtroom for 2 weeks hearing live testimony did not. And don’t get me wrong-I can’t stand Willis. But the judge landed in the right spot-forcing Wade to do exactly what he should have done when their relationship started-recuse himself.

Trump fans have a lot of opinions on conflicts of interest though they remain silent about or think the following are no big deal:

    1. Clarence Thomas ruling on major issues before the courts while taking luxury trips and items paid for by the people involved in said cases.
    2. Clarence Thomas ruling on anything related to Trump while his wife helped fund and was involved in 1/6 and the fake electors plot.
    3. Clarence Thomas ruling on anything related to Obamacare while his wife was a paid anti-ACA lobbyist.
    4. Aileen Cannon being Trump's personal kneepads wearing judge.

It’s reality. However, that’s a great description of your post that I responded to, though-a garbage bag of irrelevancy and sensationalism when applied to the law at hand as to what is required to disqualify a prosecutor in the state of Georgia. But you keep doing you.

Hilarious. Missed it when you did the US Supreme Court. Or that criminal case in Florida where the defendant will be tried by somebody that he himself appointed.

Give us the facts of those cases and I will be glad to. Please note that I said “facts”, not liberal ramblings and fantasies of some left-wing rag or website.

Or maybe there really was no legal conflict that damaged the defense’s ability to present its case, which happens to be the standard for disqualification? The Trump team had the burden of proof and really didn’t present credible evidence to show it did. Frankly I think every witness was lying a bit, including the defense witnesses.

But it’s not like the judge exonerated them. He gave the ethics board, the Ga Bar and Fulton County a veritable road map to punish them with his narrative, which was not necessary, and essentially called them liars. And he made one of the two of them step down, which was his main remedy.

Look, Willis is a moron and morally what she did was inexcusable for a prosecutor, much less one adjudicating a case of this profile. But that wasn’t the issue here.

I think the bigger issue that no one is really talking about because it’s so salacious to discuss her sex life and the cash is her stupid church speech claiming racism, which arguably stained the jury pool as every house in Fulton County saw it on TV or social media. Personally I don’t think Trump’s lawyers pounded that enough because arguably that could get the whole case thrown out or at least moved to a more rural county with less left leaning jury pools.

And Willis, if she stays on, has destroyed her credibility with the judge, which was clear from his written opinion (which I actually read, not sure if you have but it’s pretty interesting). When the judge says an odor of mendacity remains, he’s basically calling them liars.
