Sunday games don't matter to the committee. It is too late to move that many teams around given the rules about early same-conference matchups so Saturday will seal our fate. I think we are 5 vs 6 depending on how it goes today.
Sunday matters. The committee has several scenarios already locked down. They have too. What if Mississippi State wins the SECT? They likely have Bama and us interchangeable at this point and if we win the SECT we likely jump them. (We should already but...)
no, engineering. I used to could spell “engineer “ and now, I are one. And yes, I know that’s not a word, but like to toss it out to get a response such as yours.
Latest updated ESPN bracket has Bama with a 4 seed and Florida as a 6. No way Bama should get a better draw than Florida. Men's Bracketology: Time to focus, the field of 68 is becoming crystal clear
After yesterday's games, Barttovik.com sim is seeding UF #5. Beat TAMU & Auburn/Miss St & we sim to a #4. "Similar resumes" though point to #6.
I think Florida is well setup for a 5/6 seed in terms of intangibles the committee looks for (but will say they dont) that make good television. A brand that will attract viewers, a talent level to challenge any of the top 4 seeds and be a dark horse threat to make the final four. So with the Bama win, I think we've locked a resume that will get us a 6 in as our floor IMHO. But I think we could play as high as a 4, especially with a championship game win v Auburn.
South Carolina is not even in our top 5 of most hated rivals. OBC a Gator great, Mike White a Gator failure. And it wasn't a direct move by Spurrier either. C'mon man!
Sim at Barttovic.com if we beat Auburn. If we do though & it ends up similar to this, I don't know how they seed those SEC teams ahead of us.
Still want to know what Alabama has done to earn a top 4 seed. Struggled OOC with no signature wins and got blown out twice by UF, nearly avoiding going 0-3 against them with an OT win at home. If UF wins tomorrow, they’ll also go into the tournament with less losses (11 to 10). Makes no sense.
Every single major metrics site (including the most important, NET) have Bama appreciably higher. Our wins closed the gap, but seeding isn’t a zero sum game. It’s not them vs us; it’s them vs the field.
