Britt lied about her interactions with the victim, where the events took place, the time the event occurred, and the circumstances, all to smear Biden and instead of showing character and emotional intelligence by accepting her mistakes and apologizing to the nation and to President Biden - it's the media's fault. A good example is Fox News (lol) concern trolling about a minor correction - drug cartels vs. “crime organization”? Where is Britt’s “correction” to the rest of it? The sad thing is I’m sure there are domestic examples. But that woman doesn’t actually care. As a politician, she just wanted to use the one that was “presented” to her in the past and then somehow fit that situation to her political SOTU narrative. Facts be damned. The worst thing about people like Britt, she tells this tale of compassion about the woman and her horrific experience, yet we know how they vote on things like asylum or humanitarian aid…she’d just send the woman back to the traffickers. In the end Britt probably would have been better just making the whole thing up. Her flaw was the connection to an actual person.

The entire anecdote was bs in its framing and had absolutely nothing to do with Biden or his SOTU. You living in a bubble? The funny thing is Republicans already have the taking point with Lincoln Riley. It’s gross that they use random examples to demonize entire groups of people/immigrants, but at least using that isn’t dishonest in the sense that it actually happened on Biden’s watch.
Well not so sure the story was BS. Read what she actually said. CNN has already corrected their distorted version. The woman it actually happened to said parts of Britt's description of the events were not true, but if you read Britt's transcripts and compare them to what the victim actually said happened there is not a ton of difference. I would say it's not any different then comparing a small kitchen fire to the devastating fires that happen in Hawaii.

You seem to have serious critical thinking and comprehension problems, so I’ll spell it out in a different way. The issue is NOT that the events didn’t happen. Nobody doubts they happened. So I’m not sure why you would think that’s the issue. CNN is not saying “didn’t happen” either. The story was traced to this woman, and the events happened in Mexico in 2004-2008. The issue is it had literally nothing to do with the immigration debate or the SOTU and Britt framed it as if it did. That’s why she’s getting maligned by conservative media too (although their concerns seemed mostly about her somewhat creepy presentation and “staging” rather than her dishonesty).
