0-1 with an additional Q3 loss, and I think an 8 seed is most likely. Tough 2 game losing streak for a really good season up to this point.

1-1 and I think we are on the 7 seed line, 6 if we are lucky.

2-1 beating Bama again for another Q1 win and I think we are a lock for a 6 seed.

3-1 and we were to beat Bama and UK back to nights and have a 2-1 record against both I think a 5 seed is in play, maybe a 4 if we are shown some love. That would be a helluva run.

4-0 would I be crazy to say it would be the greatest 4 game winning streak in gator basketball history, outside of the NCAA tournament success we have had of course. With how good the top 6 teams are in conference it would be somewhat of a miracle. The idea of possibly beating Bama, UK, Tennessee Friday-Sunday. Knowing the crowds for UK and Tennessee would be about 80-20 in their favor.

 

Outside of UF, Im gonna be rooting for Miss State and Texas A&M like crazy in this tournament. (Unless they play UF of course) Both are on the bubble. I know a lot of fans don't care about the SEC "brand" or national perception as whole, but its part of the reason that the SEC has 6 teams solidly in with the potential of 8. The increased perception of the league as a whole, UF vs UK during the Donovan years having a lot to do with building the roots of the league today.

If this was 10 years ago, I think UT would be seen as a 3/4 maybe 2 seed and the rest of the 6 would be seen as 10-7 seeds and some near the bubble with the exception of maybe UK sneaking into a 6/5 because of its own brand.

I wanna keep the perception up which benefits Florida (and every other team) with better seeding and recruiting. Thus, go cowbell bulldogs and go aggies.

 

I used to root for all SEC teams (outside UG and UK) but no more. I want ALL of them to lose, all the time. The conference has gotten so big and its getting bigger...we don't even play half the teams going forward. Also, we have to recruit against these guys. Screw em. I want them to lose every game unless it directly affects our Mighty Gators.

 

True but sending Mike White back to Athens 0 - 3 against UF would not be all bad!

Don't forget about enhanced revenue for the league, much of it spread over all of the teams, with more teams in and doing well.
