Arky had the last possession in regular time to win. The PG brings the ball up with about 15 seconds left in the game. He holds the ball like Jimmy Chitwood in Hoosiers until about 5 seconds left and then shoots a long, contested three pointer brick. He can’t shoot like Chitwood. I’ll never understand this strategy - the odds are very low. Why not call a play and let one of your playmakers ( who can shoot FT’s) drive to the basket!?!
Really stupid call and almost played not to lose which we all know usually results in a loss.

Funny you should say that, Jim. Here's the comments from me in the "Scoreboard" thread not long after the game ended:

Arky choked there at the end.

They had the last possession in regulation and should have driven to the basket to either draw a foul or get the basket. Instead it was a 3 pt attempt....really just very dumb......

    Final in OT 92-88 Bama!

No. They're on the other side of the bracket. We get the winner of LegHumpers vs. Missouri on Thursday.

Didn't Lee Hump hit a three late on a Friday night to beat Bama one year? Maybe we do that again!

Anyone know what the bracket plan is for next year with Texas and Oklahoma?

16 teams makes for an obvious 16-8-4-2-1 even bracket, but it would eliminate all the byes ... has the SEC confirmed that's the plan?

Hasn't been announced yet. Probably will be announced when they announce the scheduling format for the conference moving forward with 16 teams.

    So, Missouri or Georgia
    Then Alabama
    Then Kentucky
    Then either Tenn/Aubrun/SC
    Sounds doable...
    Go Gators!
