Far too easy for them to lie, it's almost like it comes naturally. She knew the clear implication of her statements, she just wasn't planning on getting caught.

At least this post honestly expresses the other perspective from the current state of politics.

What really puts me off is the “holier than thou,” “unifying,” nonsensical talk.

Votes and shills for Trump. Points fingers at other people for not wanting "unity." Couldn't make this s___ up.

Serious question; are we really supposed to say we want "unity" in the absence of proper justice?

I don't want unity. I want to see Trump held to trial for his numerous crimes, and I would love to see many of the criminals he's pardoned held accountable for their crimes.

People who vote and shill for someone who has committed one of the most un-American crimes POSSIBLE -trying to deny the right of franchise of millions by overturning an election- don't get to talk about "unity."

But everyone who refuses to vote for an un-American criminal, or the party that enables and defends him, IS precisely holier than thou.

    So be put off.

This is WAAY worse than it originally appeared. Jonathan Katz investigated the story and learned the truth behind the situation. On top of everything else Britt lied about, the sex trafficking victim she referred to was discussing things that happened to her in MEXICO, not the US.

I don’t get mad at people for wanting unity.

I get mad at people justifying their support for Joe Biden on the grounds that they want unity.

I also understand Trump is not a unifying figure. You’re apparently new here, but you appear to be imputing a bunch of arguments on me that I’m not making. Trump is a middle finger to the radical progressive cultural shift enabled under Obama’s second term, and culture wars have been the norm and at the forefront of our political discourse ever since.

As far as your lust to incarcerate your political opponents, be careful what you wish for.

    So well done.

What is it about the Republican response - it’s always a dumpster file and still gets worse

    - Marco Rubio sweat and bottled water fest
    - Bobby Jindahl small town local pbs station quality response
    - Sarah Huckabee Sanders…just being herself
    - Then this - in spite of the odds beat all of the above.

Scarlett Johansson should get an Emmy for that.

Oh the horror - thinking that about crusty ole Joe Biden!!

I can see why that really makes you mad, sir. Especially when you clearly have no problem with criminal, traitorous behavior from Trump. OR, at the very minimum, you have no problem with an entire political party defending him to the extent that they're basically now a criminal organization.

We pick our outrages, and it speaks volumes about us, no?

And so because of this, you are at ease with a traitorous criminal. Or minimally his political apparatus.

Some things are simply unacceptable and cannot be rationalized. Or were you maybe going to defend OJ Simpson next?

Oh, wrong-o my friend!! I won't do the whole "your reading comprehension, har har" thing on you, but you did see me make reference to a TRIAL for Trump. As for his pardoned criminals, same thing, I guess, although several have already been found criminally guilty.

And also; does "LOCK HER UP!" ring a bell for you? In case you are wondering, it is actually YOU who support a politician, or minimally his political apparatus, that publicly and repeatedly called for incarceration of political opponents without a trial.

    So save that "holier than thou" stuff when you are;
    a) decidedly NOT holier than those you accuse
    b) guilty of supporting perpetrators of that which you accuse.

There we have it: pissed off at a man of color and couching it in the dog whistle "culture wars". What y'all meant to say was "color wars" because y'all just couldn't stand a man of color being sympathetic to black folks. That's what y'all mean by "make America great again". What y'all are really doing by making excuses for Trump's despicable behavior is making it worse.

I guess the point of the come on mans is that you believe it was some of Hunter’s left over cocaine. I can be agreeable with that.

Come on man back to you. Do you really believe that with the importance of that speech, which he delivered above expectations, he was the same every day old Joe we have seen for the last couple years mumbling and stumbling and forgetting and misspeaking. I don’t. But I admit he did much better than I thought he could. I also admit that we don’t have a good choice this November, and that is a real shame.

That is such exaggerated BS. I'd be willing to bet you haven't listened to him more than 30 minutes total since he took office, but are just parroting what you've heard others say about him. That and Hunter are almost exclusively the right's complaints about Biden.

We have the "best" choice comparatively speaking. But he is not absolutely the best choice.

One of our choices tried to disenfranchise 10's of millions of voters by assaulting the very bedrock of our democracy: free and fair elections, with a peaceful transfer of power.

The other is just too old.

    1. Trump didn’t go after Hillary when he had the opportunity to do so.
    2. The rest of this post shows someone who needs psychiatric help.

    1. How could Trump have gone after Hillary? That would be the job of DOJ. They're independent of POTUS, right?

(or are you basically just admitting that the political party you support doesn't follow the most basic laws?)

    2. Disdain for criminality doesn't demonstrate such need. Give it a try maybe.

    3. No, not really. But weren't you going off topic more recently than that, right here, because you've been exposed as a tolerator/supporter/voter of un-American criminality?

    4. I forgot - you're just a troll. I won't go back and forth with you. You can get the last word in, if you can get over how really really mad you are that someone considers Biden a unifier. :)

I can’t estimate how many hours I have listened to Biden, but just this last SOTU was four or five times your guess. His other SOTUs, parts of the few campaign speeches he has made, and dozens of clips of him speaking at state functions the past few years have given me plenty of opportunity to see a marked difference between his demeanor three nights ago and the recent past. Hence my assertion that his meds were boosted the other night. BTW, I try to watch all three cable news networks and all three regular networks and even listen to PBS/NPR trying to get a balanced bent. Sorry, but Joe Biden is a terrible choice.

At the same time, Trump is also a terrible choice. He’s a narcissistic asshole pretender that doesn’t know when to shut up. Our voting population on both sides of the fence is so dimmed down that these kinds of unacceptable choices are what we get because one or the other is the “best” choice to the tribes. My country is screwed, unfortunately. Oh how I wish we could shake the Etch-A-Sketch and start all over with reasonable primary choices…on both sides. Our entrenched for life politicians, however, only seem to care about the power of their tribes. Yep, we’re screwed.
