Number 3 in the country in batting average. Just run ruled the number 10 team in the country. I think the bats are ok.

 

Love a Gators run-rule win, especially against Bama!

Well. That was fun.

 

Time will tell. Their starting pitcher today is very good and we just took advantage of their poor defense to get to the bullpen, which is no very good. The pitcher we'll face tomorrow night, Kayla Beaver, is excellent and held us to 3 hits yesterday and our 2 runs were unearned. Our offense looked great today for sure. Our speed and aggressiveness put a lot of pressure on the defense and forced them into several of those errors.

 

Alabama had 6 errors today. So that was a big part in our success.
But winning the series with this young staff first time out at Bama is great. So much talent there, gonna be fun to watch them continue to grow this year.

 

Wow, wasn't expecting a beat down like that. Looked like a complete performance.

 

No telling what happens the rest of the year, or even tomorrow, but these last 2 games, at Bama, have to be gratifying for everyone associated with Gators softball. I salute them all.

 

People expecting a hit every at bat, and run rules every game are sure to be disappointed, but that’s also a ridiculous expectation. Elite pitchers are going to shut down the bats occasionally. That’s what makes them elite. You still regularly see shutouts at the highest level against the best hitters in the world. This team can hit though, and is at the top of the lists in most offensive categories.
