No one on / 1 out F/B/Ks/B/B - Mashore grounds out to short. Yeah, the infielders got something to do!
Shane, how about starting a thread just for your topic? That way you can get the opinion of others not on the game thread. Thanks.
I see what you're saying -- 3-7 F, 5-5 S, 9-1 N is 17-13 and that gets to hosting, maybe seeded, yeah? Would you shift Cags to #1 in the NCAA Tournament? And if so, how?
Cags numbers through 5 15 BF 8 K’s 0 hits 0 runs against a really good hitting veteran team. Just WOW
Cags is exceptional at 1st base as well. And Garrison has to be able to hit to play more. He was 1 for 10 coming into today's game.
Men on 2B & 3B / 0 outs Kc - Thomas HBP, and Garrison also hit in the on-deck circle. They should both get a base!
I do get some of what you are saying but stinks to think our best guy couldn’t pitch a big game because we have to wait a few to allow him to pitch on a certain day. Again, I get recovery ( not at your level) but don’t get why a 20 year old kid can’t swing a bat four times. We are effectively saying that in a game to get us to the college World Series or a monster game. We can’t pitch our best pitcher because he will be needing two days of recovery which equates to- people can’t swing a bat four times as a DH? to your question: I have not at age 20-21 but coached and had a family member ( non pitcher) play at a pretty high level. Had another family member pitch and could play a position if needed the next day.
GIDP -- not an RBI! (If you've seen The Good Place, imagine that in the Janet Voice -- "Not a Girl" or "Not a Robot")
I think Tanner is a better hitter than he’s shown, but he’s not taking Luke’s job. I like him as Cags guy, Catching on Sundays when Luke plays first. I think he’ll get up to the 275 range, and he’ll hit a few dingers.
