All due respect to super knowledgeable members on here but I’m watching Cags closely. May fall apart today, don’t believe that will happen, but can’t understand how people watch our pitching and continue to say Cags isn’t our Friday guy
Its not that he isn't our best starter so far, which he has been, its that he's a 2-way player - in my unknowledgeable opinion
It’s not that Cags doesn’t have the talent to compete on Fridays shane—we want him in the lineup all three games for his bat and defensive skills—If you pitch him on Friday you’re going to lose him on Saturday due to body recovery and the fact is he will still be stiff to play on Sunday. You push him to play those two days and you also affect his routine for how his body recovers for his next start. When his recovery schedule is altered he’s not going to be as strong for his next start. I don’t know how else to explain this. Whether he pitches on Friday or Sunday he can only figure in the outcome of one game. I prefer his bat and defensive skills to be in all three games AND him to be strong for his start on the mound.
yeah, you’re a great poster and make great points… But I just don’t get people saying any excuse why he wouldn’t be our number one pitcher on Friday night. He’s a dude!!! we will not have him after 45 more games. need to utilize him.
