Awful. Some day we will run an inbounds play that has guys coming back to the ball, in the middle of the floor. That day isn’t today.
I am totally upset and disappointed-we had the game won and we turned it over -all we had to do is allow them to foul us-we go to FT line
That last foul on the Gators was a complete Phantom call no one touched that guy under the bucket. Having said that Clayton killed us with that inbound turnover and dribble off his leg at the end
Now not happy. We will learn from this and get ready for the real season. Just want to dance and we will.
they out offensive rebounded us 19-6! That’s all about wanting to win. With our height advantage it shoulda been 19-6 in our favor
Even on the replay, I have no idea what Clayton was seeing on the inbound play. The Vanderbilt defender had the clear inside advantage on Kugel.
Z Pullin - 20 points (7-of-9 FG, 1-of-1 3pt, 5-0f-5 FT, 5 Reb, 1 Stl, 8 Asst, 1 TO) Samuel - 16 points (8-of-10 FG, 0-of-1 3pt, 4 Reb, 2 Blk, 1 Stl, 1 Asst, 3 TO) Clayton - 14 points (4-of-14 FG, 3-of-9 3pt, 3-of-3 FT, 3 Reb, 1 Stl, 1 Asst, 3 TO) Condon - 11 points (4-of-7 FG, 1-of-1 3pt, 2-of-2 FT, 8 Reb, 1 Blk, 1 Stl, 2 Asst, 2 TO) R Kugel - 8 points (4-of-5 FG, 2 Reb, 1 Stl, 3 Asst, 4 TO)
we absolutely deserved to lose that game and couldn't have happened at a better time if we think we've "made strides" and "we're trending in the right direction" we are SADLY mistaken. We have so much to work on - starting with DEFENSIVE REBOUNDING. How many multiple offensive rebounds did they have??? We give up 20 offensive rebounds to THIS TEAM???? We're going to get knocked out of both tournaments if we bring this mess
Well I never feel we "deserve" to lose-I want to always win even if we looked bad-ugly wins are better than ugly losses
Glad we could give Vandy their 9th win of the year. Gave up 47 in the 2nd half. Only scored 9 points in the last 4:55 and gave up a 17-9 run in that span. What an embarrassment that was.
No. The official handed our player the ball and the play was in-progress, then he whistled an officials timeout . . . with no explanation to Coach Golden but he did speak to the Vandy coach and, oh by the way, Vandy got to see the play.
The final play would have worked if Clayton hadn't lost the handle on the ball. He was going to get a pretty good look at the basket.
he needs his head checked....and no way in hell should HE be inbounding the ball. How many times does he need to casually throw the ball away before stop giving him the ball in these situations?? that said we should NEVER have been in that situation to begin with.....what an absolutely disgraceful showing
