The team is really jellin and could peak at the right time for NcaaT. Keep pushing.

I've already addressed this before. Sometimes coaches and players say things that don't make sense when a camera is in front of them. They can also suffer from the same irrational logic as some of you, even if they are professionals. Oats is not only a coach, but he has degrees in exercise science and kinesiology, so he definitely has knowledge and expertise. That said, the argument is silly that a few minutes here and there makes a difference three days later. I don't care who says it.

Must win this game to maintain a #5 NCAA seed.

It definitely would make it more difficult with a loss today, but winning the SEC-T would probably also ensure a 4 or 5 seed.

I've seen two or three posters who thought our game is scheduled for Sunday. Not sure why

He said get their “minds right”….it is easy to confuse mental fatigue with physical fatigue. I would easily say the mental part is more critical to see and overcome. Bama got rattled against us - wise of their coach to call it a physical issue and deflect the fact they got worked hard. Smart coaching actually.

as I’ve posted before, this is science and not debatable: the body is absolutely recovered in 48-72 hours , assuming they are sleeping and eating properly, with sleep being more critical.

I am a recreational triathlete in my mid 40’s….on day 3 after a race I can easily do another race. Over and over. Without any issues. And I don’t have the guidance/support the players have…plus the mountain of adult responsibilities that prevent me from taking a nap on a Tuesday to help me recover.

Maintain? Which service shows UF a 5 in the Dance at this point? All I’m seeing is 6 or 7 right now.

Today is Sunday. We won and Aberdeen score 32.

Also you are an additional hour behind because of DST.

Thank you, Bike. It's like some of these guys have never been in peak condition, because 72 hours is an eternity to recover from 30 minutes of physical activity. I'd run 3 miles and show up to the gym sweaty from my run, throw on my basketball jersey, then play the game with no problem. In fact, I'd still be outhustling everyone else. I'm pretty sure every single UF player is in better shape than I am/was.

Olympics, Track & Field tournaments, tennis grand slams, NBA, NCAABB, you name it... they all play games as early as 48 hours in between games. NBA playoffs and March madness have short intervals in between. Yet we have guys here saying guys are still tired from a bball game. It's just silly.

Aberdeen played 6 minutes. Clayton scored 11 points early including 3-3's, but did nothing until the drive to the basket at the end.

Pullen and Condon were the only two that played well today

That isn't the jinx. The jinx was suggesting that we would have an easy game that would give Aberdeen more time to play.
