Did you notice the 2nd article mentioned 3 investigations, 2 of which were initiated by the NY DA in the summer prior to the immigration remarks. Sorry if that doesn’t fit your narrative.
The whole exchange I have been involved in started with this comment: If we are comparing this situation with how the DNC operates in NYC…yeah it’s basically NYC Democrats doing the same thing that MAGA is being accused of in this thread with respect to Liz Cheney…well, except the part about investigating Liz Cheney. They did not do that.
I am not really that far out of town and I was not complaining. I was just pointing out that all the things the government is said to be doing for us is not happening here and we don't need it either. I want less government and fewer laws telling me how and what I can do on my land.
All the studies say the same thing: we estimated that rural places get more per resident in taxes than they pay, while urban places get less per resident than they pay. It is a plain fact that state and federal taxpayers subsidize rural places at the expense of cities and suburbs. I'm not sure what the Swann case is. Looked for it and didn't find it. And found no mention of Ford being called a racist. But back to my point. Your claim: As with Ford, I doubt everyone of those were accused of everything on your list. And, as I said, everyone gets accused of something by someone. Clinton supposedly left bodies littered along railroad tracks in Arkansas. Hillary was part of a group that trafficked kids for sexual abuse thru tunnels under Washington DC. Obama wasn't even American. But you seem to claim that even all the national media joined in these claims against poor, beleaguered Republicans.
As I read they are talking per capita spending in at least one article and also seems that agriculture is where the majority of the federal spending goes. One even says that most of the rural residents don't benefit from the spending. I am sure every rural area and every state are different depending on the agriculture and type of farming. It seems like spending on agriculture benefits people living in the city as well as it does rural people. "Rural places are large beneficiaries of federal dollars. By some estimates, per capita spending by the federal government is twice as high in rural than urban places. Most of this goes into agriculture subsidies, so rural communities probably don’t perceive the spending. Most may not actually benefit from it. Still, that is a legitimate critique offered by urban taxpayers, who foot most of the bill. Rural residents ought to be more conscious that these large subsidies provide few benefits for their community, while alienating urban taxpayers."
Understood. I would suggest that it's those who are not good stewards of their land who necessitate laws and regulations. BTW, I grew up in Gainesville in the 50's and used to know the Prairie and Micanopy (before it became a hippie outpost) fairly well. No interstate then, just fo-foty-one, and two lane at that. I can see why many yearn for those "simpler times' (if you were white, of course).
That is not at all what it said. It is mostly income security and that is where the biggest variance is.
Also, that is incorrect. The conflict between Joe Biden and Eric Adams predates the summer indictments: https://www.axios.com/2023/05/16/biden-eric-adams-new-york Eric Adams’ scathing comments where he said Biden has failed NYC date back to at least April. If you make the Democrats mad, we’ve seen what happened to Trump with the Steele dossier and Russian collusion hoax. This is the Machiavellian nature of the DNC. Trump’s punishment for beating Hillary was the Steele Dossier and Russian collusion hoax. This is what the Democrats do to those who cross them.
You can say I’m engaging in whataboutism, but indifference towards stuff like this while being outraged by Liz Cheney is hypocrisy. If you want to be that way, then fine own up to it. Nonetheless, it is one thing to distance oneself and disassociate oneself from someone because you disagree with their politics or criticisms of you. That is the nature of politics. It is quite another to have multiple investigations launched against those who criticize you. That is more in line with what happens in Russia, China, or Iran.
And Drumpf is the ultimate wanna-be authoritarian of revenge politics. You don't need to take my word for it, take his! Dude is 100% unfit for office and his sheep fools.
I anticipate income levels is a driver for impacts to rural voters. and specifically health care. Dems generally support better health care for more people. Also health clinics and food subsidies programs, especially children of poorer households. Maga generally has more of a platform of little support for our poorer citizens. ie wanting dead-stop on ACA. “According to the Economic Research Service, the average per capita income for all Americans in 2021 was $64,143, with the rural per capita income at $49,895. The ERS reports, based on 2021 Census Bureau data, that the poverty rate in the rural U.S. is 15.4%, compared with 12.8% nationwide. 12.5% of the rural population has not completed high school, while 11.1% across the nation lacks a high school diploma according to 2017-2021 ACS data reported by ERS. The rural unemployment rate is at 3.7% while the urban rate is 3.6% (USDA-ERS, 2022).” Selected rural statistics for the United States.
So are you saying the Biden administration worked with NYC DA to open investigations? Your own link said many state and local officials agree with Adams. So you really think Democrats, as a group and a party, are this giant nefarious vengeful cult?
Cult may not be the right word, but ruthless and Machiavelian might be spot on. Evil is a pretty good description. FWIW, what we are talking about would be normal behavior for most governments in the world. Most governments in the world are evil and corrupt. So, you could consider the Democrats to be peers of the other regimes in the world.
Is that the Steele dossier where everything in it except for the pee pee tapes has been proven true? Is the Russian collusion the hoax where the Trump campaign met with Russian officials to get "dirt on Hillary" in the Trump tower that no one denies? As soon as someone brings up the "Russian hoax" it is clear it isn't worth discussing facts with them. Trump is in DEEP to the Ruskies, and you dip sticks couldn't care less. #sad
Anybody who refers to the Trump campaign's collusion with Russia as a "hoax" should consider not voting until they have made an effort to become an informed citizen. And succeeded. (Obviously, as opposed to allowing whatever lies and nonsense spread by the lying orange guy to fill their head.) The Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday reaffirmed its support for the U.S. intelligence community’s conclusion that the Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election with the goal of putting Donald Trump in the Oval Office. Tuesday’s bipartisan report, from a panel chaired by North Carolina Republican Richard Burr, undercuts Trump’s years of efforts to portray allegations of Kremlin assistance to his campaign as a “hoax,” driven by Democrats and a “deep state” embedded within the government bureaucracy. The intelligence community’s initial January 2017 assessment of Moscow’s influence campaign included “specific intelligence reporting to support the assessment that [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and the Russian government demonstrated a preference for candidate Trump,” the committee’s report says. The panel also found “specific intelligence” to support the conclusion that Putin “approved and directed aspects” of the Kremlin’s interference efforts. The January 2017 assessment found that “Russia’s goals were to undermine public faith in the U.S. democratic process, denigrate Secretary [Hillary] Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency. We further assess Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump. We have high confidence in these judgments.” https://www.politico.com/news/2020/...rms-russia-aimed-to-help-trump-in-2016-198171
