Spring roster has him listed as 6'3 241 lbs.

It seems he put on 20 lbs since ESD. Definitely built for the SEC.

Can't wait for all the haters to call Napier racist because he won't start him.

Seriously though, be prepared for a swell of man crushes. Dude has rocket arm, crazy legs, and a million dollar smile.

. I just hope he has the IT factor too. Richardson had all the above, but for whatever reason could only read half the field.

Will be interesting to see how it works out.

Billy has shown to leave young talent on the bench in favor of experience.

If Florida is winning with Mertz, will Lagway just get a package here and there and then bolt next year?

If Florida is losing with Mertz, at what record do you just give it to Lagway?

Will Lagway be tied to Billy if he is fired?

We played more true freshmen than any team in the country, yet our fans think we prioritize seniority over talent.

Get him some game reps without throwing him to wolves and killing his confidence. Given the time to develop, the sky may be the limit for him. Also need the other pieces around him; OL, skill position players etc.

My comment was pointed to how he handled AR.

Seems we play true freshman in most cases because we don't have another option.

AR started Billy's entire first season despite having basically no experience.

    Dumb it is.

To this point in their respective careers, AR and DJ appear to have much in common, in some respects anyway. Both are big, strong, fast and shockingly agile for men of their size. But in terms of respective levels of development as a QB right out of HS, DJ looks better in virtually every respect. IMO, superior mechanics, consistency, on field leadership and locker-room "presence" could put DJ in a position to do things at UF that haven't happened in a while. Not bashing AR, but it is what it is.

I agree, but not because I’m worried about his confidence. I’m a strong believer that real talent does not lose confidence from a bad game. I just think that Mertz is a very good veteran QB and there’s no reason to rush in DJ before he gives us a better chance to win.

Billy has played more young players than any coach in the nation. Lagway is only going to be a package this coming season, more than likely no matter what
