is this Samuel‘s last year of eligibility? Will Kugel leave for Greener pastures to get more minutes?
I’d really like to see us grow into a team that retain its players year to year so that we can develop a winning core of players.

Samuel and Rishwain run out of eligibility this year.
I think everyone else will be back.

Job #1 for CTG is to find another Pullin in the portal. I bet we would be about four to five places further back in the SEC if not for him. Clayton is not a primary ball handler. We need a true point, and there isn't one on our current roster that can fill that void. Picking up another big shouldn't be as much of a challenge as finding another Pullin.

How good is the guard we signed this year. Can he handle the point?

If they want to chase $$$ then you're right. But I sense a lot of loyalty on this team. They seem to like each other and the coaches. But I recognize there will be some surprises most likely. They can't break up the band man!

Hopefully no surprises. Really like these bigs and Clayton/Richard. The bigs don’t seem like NBA prospects (yet). Talent wise, I could see Condo blowing up next year with a year under his belt and an off-season but it would be quite shocking for him to take off already (and ditto for Handlogten and Haugh, who i think are 4 year college players hopefully with the Gators all the way).

Now of course Kugel tested the waters last year and had some issues this year, and Clayton has a kid to take care of, so maybe we get a monkeywrench or two there. Either way, Golden will need to hit the portal hard for a starting PG.

I think it's possible some blue blood school is going to grab a couple of our guys.

We are a blue blood school. Just a little down recently until this year.

Thanks. Will Clayton have to play point, think SG if he returns is best for team.
I guess portol will have to work out for a good PG

He hasn't played much this year because of how good Pullin is, but this guy is supposed to be really good. I'm sure there will be a lot of portal activity. Hopefully we get more really good players than we lose. It will be a different team without Samuel and Pullin. Condon, Handlogten and Haugh should all be improved if they stay. In the off season we have to work more on defense.

I don't think that's a given. I'd be surprised if Clayton, Handlogten, Richard, Condo and Haugh weren't back next year

I would expect Clayton to be back next year and he will probably be getting Kugel’s paycheck. I would also think we keep Micah, Condon, Haugh, and Richard.

No inside info, just guesses for guys who might be gone…

Kugel - does he leave for somewhere else after his poor season and diminished minutes? His attitude seems to be ok and he is engaged with his teammates, so maybe he doesn’t leave and gets dedicated to improving.

Aberdeen - He has been here a couple years now and still isn’t getting many minutes. Minutes may be there next year with Pullen leaving, but I doubt they turn the keys over to Denzel. If they bring in another really good player at the point, Denzel could be looking at similar minutes next year. He may look to go to a smaller school where he can play starter minutes.

Everyone else on the bench that has played fewer minutes than Aberdeen is always a transfer potential.

We probably should add to that Shimmy, Kublickas and Rishwain. Kugel is an unknown, but he likely has played his way out of the draft. It's time for Ques to return home, although he might have one of those bad knees that never gets better.
