Most of the fouls called on us were legit. We are not as skilled as USC at fouling without it being egregious.
Lol..we can do those same fouls on a neutral floor and half will get (not all of them like today) called and same for SC. It is what it is.
Tough loss today, but I can tell Golden is getting the type of players he needs to succeed there. I think you guys can definitely make a run. I will say the SEC officiating has been inconsistent all season. I visit most of the SEC teams forums and most fans complain about the refs, because it has been bad. But these guys are gonna make bad calls, because they are human and it’s never going to be perfect. It’s up to teams to be able to adjust. What I can’t stand sometimes is when the officials decide they are gonna call 2 different games. Either let both teams play and be aggressive ( I vote for that) or call ticky tack crap , which I can’t stand. If you’re gonna call it one of those then do it for the entire game, not pick and choose. Also, be consistent for both teams. Love posting here and enjoy the friendly banter.
im making a general observation about SEC officiating and fans reactions.. 1st half of the game our fan’s reaction thought the refs were slanted towards UF. I just don’t see it like that. Maybe I’m in the minority? When I looked at the halftime stat sheet, I’m seeing 37% shooting and 4-13 from 3 point land. Maybe good defense and bad shooting had something to do with it? We had a 13 point lead at home against LSU. We blew it and lost the game. The fans wanted to blame bad calls. I’m of the opinion well don’t choke up a 13 point lead to allow the refs to “ decide” a game.
So you were fine with a game called totally in your favor. You just don't want a game called against your team. Got it
I tell you like I tell my fellow Gamecock brethren, blaming officials is an excuse. fans are gonna be fans. I understand your frustration, but I see it everywhere. Refs suck I get it. But man you gotta be prepared to overcome that. Every team gets bad calls and it is harder to win on the road. im just seeing what I see. There is no disrespect intended… Every fanbase in the SEC thinks the refs are out to get them, including my own fanbase. You guys have a hell of a team and I truly do respect your program.
