Not even a perfect bill …… just one that dealt with immigration. There’s absolutely no reason for the Senate to combine the three issues in one other than democrats wanting to force House republicans to kill the convolution. Partisan politics by Senate democrats.

 

As a reminder, Republicans demanded combining these issues:

Republicans threaten to reject Ukraine aid unless Democrats agree to tighten U.S. immigration laws

So, the argument here is:
1. Demand that a bill contain issue A (which you support) and issue B (which you support).
2. Vote down bill containing issue A and issue B.
3. Say that you voted it down because the bill contained issue A (which you support) and issue B (which you support).
