20-8 record, 10-5 in the SEC!

Yep, I remember recently when people were calling for a new BB coach and a new AD. I was not one of them...

 

Heck, Billy Donovan had a string of 5 or 6 first weekend exits and people on this forum were screaming for his head. He shut them up with the back-to-back.

 

Count me surprised. I predicted 8-10 and maybe 9-9. but this team has passed my expectations mightily. Glad I was wrong.

 

Yeah….but it’s a Really Good surprise…ain’t it!

I’m loving this team and this season. I missed just enjoying the season and being excited about each game.

 

I had 11-7 SEC.

That said… I wouldn’t be among those who “wrote the season off”. Not by a long shot. I’ve been convinced this is a Sweet 16 roster since the day it was assembled.
I did, however, lament the start; and how we were playing/not playing.
I think part of the reason we are playing so well now is the use of talent across the floor; having our front court more involved offensively. Someone less lazy than me could look this up… but I suspect we are far more balanced since those first few games.
