Did Brown injure herself? She didn't run out that potential double, and now they are pinch-running for her. From what I could see, she looked like she limped off.
To me this is a huge win and confidence boost for the Gators. Fullerton run-ruled Tennessee last week. They're not a great team, but have played a tough schedule and are playing on their home field. Considering how we played out West last year, the way we've been undervalued so far this year due to a very soft scheduled and with, supposedly, unproven freshman pitchers, this could be the start of our softball program making a statement. Rothrock & Brown ARE the real deal and with the talent up and down this lineup, I'm pumped!!!
Is the budget so low that they couldn't find a partner for him to talk to? Geeze, grab some rando out of the stands and give him a mic.
I think he is doing fine as a solo. He is better than the one Gator announcer whose softball terminology is so awkward. He can not describe softball action in real-time.
Quick update from here at the game. The starting pitcher for CAF was fast but no real ball movement. In the 2nd and 3rg she was hit hard but right at someone. 2nd time thru the order and she was dead meat. We can really hit and Keegan is the real deal. Ava wanted to go back out and started out but Tim sent dunce in as Ava will pitch the second game. More to follow.
Ho hum. Another no hitter and another run rule. I guess since CSF run ruled Tenn by 9 and Gators run ruled CSF by 9, it makes the Gators 18 runs better than Tenn. It's so great to be a Florida Gator.
Agreed. I'm starting to think that our season depends on her. But perhaps Brown / Miller have an upside that will eventually be realized with coaching and experience.
The Gator radio broadcast thinks the Long Beach game is coming up in about 30 minutes. What is going on?
That's the worst possible scenario now. Definetley limping though. When taking off her shields at 1st she stayed bent over longer and walked off stiffly... couldn't really tell what she was favoring
I hope the LBS game is rescheduled for Saturday. I'm speculating that Ava tweaked something in her foot/ankle/knee and will be OK after icing it and resting overnight. I don't think she'd be in the handshake line if it were something serious..... I hope.
I rewatched the post game congrats line and again I never saw Ava. Stopped and started it frequently and never could ID her.
