I’ve said on multiple occasions I did not and will not vote for Trump. I have also called posters from both sides of the aisle on more than one occasion.
As for starting threads… I almost NEVER start a thread especially in Too Hot. But if that’s your metric for deciding what kind of person each poster must be.. good luck to you.

Perhaps there is a continuum and I'd suggest that these examples do not support your purpose. On a scale from one to ten where ten is most racist, I'd put the Biden quote a 3 and the quote about Obama a 7.

There are incorrect assumptions posted on this thread by some of you accusing mods of bias. Not the first time and likely won't be the last no matter how many times it has been stated we do the best we can dealing fairly with the ugly posts made by people from both sides of the political spectrum. Our moderation is divorced from our own views, though it is permissible under the guidelines for moderators to engage in debates or discussions and post our personal views.

We strive to be fair and not let any personal political opinions color the decisions we exercise while moderating this aggravating board. We do the best we can but nonetheless we still receive criticism from people who think they are being unfairly treated or discriminated against. It must be stated, yet again, if your posts are edited or deleted there was an unbiased reason for it. Posters only see the evidence of their own edited or deleted posts. They don't see the deletions or editing of posts of other people that have been edited or deleted. And there are many from both sides.,

The opinion stated on the OP of this thread started out with an insulting assertion. I was inclined to delete it, as I also would have been if something similar had been posted by a left winger. However, as River had responded and commented on the OP of the thread and it was underway, I passed on editing or deleting, but was personally compelled to comment in post #25. And for those who think I exercised bias, and let left wingers off the hook, take a look at post #11. Neither post #1 or post #11 were subjected to moderation; there was no editing or deleting. Mentioning post #11 Post was a suggestion people exercise 'self moderation'. There is little self restraint practiced among too many posting on this site.

 

Post #11 (mine), which was incendiary, was in response to post #1 which wasn't moderated. Mine, didn't insult posters on this board, the other one did. You mods always let the right wingers off the hook because they are overly sensitive.

 

Why don’t we just all agree that the mods are unfair to everyone and you guys just be nicer to and more understanding of each other.

This makes me think....anyone who thinks social media companies could possibly satisfy everyone that the moderation is 100% objectively consistent should spend a week on a message board.

 

Given the number of posters here who post about Trump daily and possibly even hourly, I'm not so sure about that. A lot of cyber stalkers go overboard and actually start harassing the person in real life. FWIW, Trump is probably the most cyber stalked person on the planet. We almost have an entire forum devoted to him here on GC.

 

First, hope they find who sent the letter and prosecute them.

Second, the victimhood by Donald Jr, is ripe with hypocrisy. Over the last 6 years, I've watched Trump mock disabled people, sexual assault victims, immigrants, veterans and POWs; foment violence against election workers with false claims of election rigging to the extent they had to abandon their homes for their safety; instigate an insurrection with false claims, rhetoric and actions that lead to the deaths of police officers protecting members of Congress and his own VP; make veiled threats of violence against prosecutors, judges and witnesses in his criminal and civil trials (Engoron just received his own letter with white substance).

Trump does not take responsibility for any of his words or actions that lead to reactions by both his supporters and opposition. He believes he is entitled to total immunity for anything and everything he or his family does or says. Yet he is also the loudest victim in the room when he is held to laws and basic human norms. Sadly, he is transforming the GOP into his likeness as more moderates and true conservatives leave the party.
