Rated the post "Come On Man" because it's a virtual certainty that if a child was "going through a phase" which by the way is not uncommon, a competent mental health professional would be able to determine if that's the case and would not recommend medical intervention and in any case if medical intervention is warranted it would never be prescribed for a 4-year old. Although you probably didn't bother reading it in a previous post I cited a study done in the Netherlands of children referred for therapy. The majority of those children never received medical intervention and for those who did receive intervention the results were very positive. Although you may think that they are mentally ill most were happy and well adjusted. On a slightly different topic whether or not a person who was born male and identifies as female should be allowed to play on a girls team is a completely different issue than whether a person questioning his gender identity should receive therapy although you apparently prefer to conflate the two because the issue of athletic participation elicits a strong response. While I do not think an adolescent who has gone through male puberty should be competing against girls that doesn't mean that the individual or younger persons should be denied therapy.

So if your position really is “trans women are women”, and you compare trans women physical advantages to that of cis-women who are larger or more physically gifted than others, then why is it fair to make trans women take drugs?
