Trump is a defendant and his attorneys have joined with the attorneys of the other codefendants in attempting to disqualify Willis. While the primary issue may be about Willis Trump is not exactly irrelevant. Maybe if the only attorney(s) involved in the hearing was the one who made the original motion to disqualify Willis Trump's involvement would be irrelevant.

Trump has the benefit of being a defendant here and Willis/Wade screwed up royally by making a mockery of what was likely to be the strongest criminal case against Trump period. Now your ace up the sleeve is a classified documents case with a judge in S. Fla whom Trump appointed, who was helped by Rubio and donated to DeSantis. Good luck with that, buddy.

The Constitution and Bill of Rights affords every defendant in this country due process. If this was our poster on trial and he found out the DA and his lead prosecutor (who is trying to ruin said poster's life) were banging on the side, while numerous gifts were being exchange and numerous lies being told under oath, his head would explode.

What does any of that have to do with Roy Barnes veracity, which was the point we were discussing?. I’ve already said Willis is an idiot who should face the consequences if she lied, and Wade should have resigned the day they started dating. None of that, or anything else I’ve said in this thread, has anything to do with Trump being a defendant. You’re arguing the wrong point to the wrong guy.

And whatever that unqualified idiot masquerading as a judge in south Florida rules due to party loyalty will be overturned on appeal, buddy.

But in this hearing Fani Willis is the defendant so the burden of proof is on the other side. You can't do things like assume she interviewed two other people first to throw people off. There needs to be actual proof. That is unless you hate the constitution?

To get back to the point of this hearing, it's to determine if there's a conflict of interest. Nothing presented comes close to conclusively proving that her actions have adversely impacted the defendants.

As with most of the things you post here, it's just desperately searching for tiniest ray of hope to get Trump off on a technicality. And a technicality is all you have because Trump keeps committing clear crimes.

There is no evidence of this, it is speculation on your part. And dare it be said possibly a projection of an explosive reaction of your own in similar circumstances?

As I posted earlier, spurious unfounded charges will bring objections.

It's a projection of an obvious string of political prosecutions that has the potential to tip this country into civil war. Did Trump try to get the GA officials to change their mind? Sure did. Al Gore tried it too. It happens. Wasn't the first, won't be the last.

He didn't try to change anyone's mind. He asked them to create almost 12,000 votes out of thin air.

    "Change their mind" ?!

He not only pressured the GA SoS to "find votes", he wanted him to overturn the GA election results. Pretty clearly, so that he could have something -ANYTHING- to substantiate his constant lies about election fraud.

Then he could more plausibly pressure Pence to not certify the results due to these manufactured irregularities. Or maybe he'd have done even worse - nullify the election? Martial law? He really needed at least ONE state to officially go along with his campaign of lies.

Amazing, the lengths Trump supporters will go to to justify the un-American crimes of their cult leader.

So this is a mind-blowing picture for me. Because I just realized a high school friend is part of the prosecution team in this Georgia case against Trump.

He's the bearded guy in the background of that photo, and for what it's worth, I can say with 100% certainty that he is a rock-solid individual of impeccable character.

Yeh, I was going to say ...... whew, someone finally found a good guy on this prosecution team!! There's probably more but Fani and Wade ..... ugh.

It's amazing how some lawyers feel they are above reproach for their poor judgement and behavior. In this day, prosecutors should make sure they are "clean Gene or Jean" so their integrity and honesty can't be challenged by the prosecuted

It doesn't help that she looks and acts guilty as sin every time she takes the witness stand. I don't know if I've seen a witness in a high profile case project such an aura of guilt in their body language in a long time. She's a DA and doesn't know how to carry herself during a cross-exam or look at least somewhat innocent in her presentation.

Interesting to see if this will shed more light on the matter.

Judge rules Nathan Wade's attorney must take the stand again in Trump case: Sources (msn.com)

"A Fulton County judge has ruled that special prosecutor Nathan Wade's former law partner and divorce attorney, Terrence Bradley, must retake the stand in former President Donald Trump's Georgia election interference case to testify on topics not covered by attorney-client privilege, sources familiar with the matter confirmed to ABC News.

"Following a meeting with Bradley on Monday, Judge Scott McAfee notified attorneys in the case via email that some communications between Wade and Bradley do not fall under attorney-client confidentiality, the sources said."

"His return to the stand could potentially lead to significant revelations as the defense continues its effort to disqualify Willis from the election case and have the charges dismissed."
