Remember the autobiographical book "Black Like Me," published in 1961, by a white man who temporarily darkened his skin and passed for black, to see what it was like in those days? There was a movie based on the book starring James Whitmore.

I'd like to try that today, but for real by some magic. I'd like to be black at least long enough to see how I would feel about sneakers, mugshots, and white assholes like Trump who pass for orange.

I wish they would both go away. Whatever good Trump did isn't worth the price we've paid the last 3 and 1/2 years, and we'll have to pay it all over again in 2028 if Trump wins.

Open any discussion and there is an excellent chance it will be adversely impacted by TDS-driven rants. That's pretty much what Too Woke for Swamp Gas has become.

It's fine, maybe good, folks really dislike DT .... but the incessant, mindless ravings and rants about him are simply juvenile ...... and a symptom of an unhealthy obsession/addiction. TDS is a very real issue.

(Cue VAg's attempt to redefine TDS) :D

Does that remind you of someone? Hint: He’s running for president. (Hint #2: It’s not “Crooked Joe Biden.” It’s an actual crook.)

Perhaps the title of the thread just happened to slip by you, Sherlock.

Talking about Trump in a thread about Trump: “TDS!!!” Speaking of TDS, Bob Costas had a scathing (and extremely accurate) take on Trump and his followers the other day, and actually defines the true meaning of TDS. Sounds like you’ve got a bad case of it yourself. Starts at 7:05 so I even gave you the timestamp so you don’t have to watch the entire clip, lol.

    So very tiresome.

Biden is a normal politician the likes of which we have been voting for for decades. Trump is a grifter and a low level mob boss in an international mafia. Those are our choices for president. To people with a functioning brain stem, the choice is clear.

I have no idea what Cardi B has to do with the presidential race.

Both weird and sad that you and the rest of the Republi-ban who worship him do not hold him to that same standard? Trump's derangement, and possibly psychopathy are very, very real.

The answer is simple — do I trust Biden? Yes. Do I like all of his policies? My answers on these boards reflects that the answer is “no.” But, Trump is a recidivist fraudster. That’s not hyperbole, it is fact. He has a long line of companies successfully sued for engaging in commercial fraud. He has had his charities terminated because of fraud. He has bankrupted multiple companies. And all this without getting into his sexual assaults, repeated lies, and fraud against NY.

Biden? The guy responsible for spreading the story of his graft is a Russian operative that is sitting in a jail because he was caught being a spy whose directive was to disrupt the American political system.

But, again, Biden is besides the point. Republicans had the real opportunity to elect someone from their party that was not a repeat fraudster and criminal. Someone who could have EASILY beaten Biden. But they failed, and picked the criminal. Which turns back to my question, how could anyone trust this guy?!

If TD was ranting and raving on this board, I would take him to task. But to date, I don't think he's active on TWFSG .... but let me know if you find him posting here!

Would you say that your obsession with people talking about Trump could be due to the fact that people doing so causes you cognitive dissonance? It is a bit odd how much you don't want people to talk about the Republican nominee for President, even in threads about him.

I'm obliged to help my brother in their time of need. I hope those suffering from an obsession with Trump will realize the problem and change. Such an obsession is not good for the psyche and could lead to even greater irrational behavior ..... eg questioning the intentions of one trying to help another and saying they may suffer from "cognitive dissonance" .... a question that possibly indicates a degree of "cognitive dissonance" in and of itself.

Except it isn't. Declaring somebody "deranged" is not assisting. That is a pejorative term, not one associated with any sort of psychological condition or even set of symptoms. It is a term not meant to assist, so why the bad faith claim that you are just trying to help?

In fact, every accusation that you lodge on others, you engage in your desire not to see people talk about Trump. You mindlessly repeat the same thing over and over again. You come up with cute nicknames ("Too Woke"). Would you consider yourself "deranged" on this topic?

Kind of avoiding the questions. Is that due to the fact that the questions result in cognitive dissonance?
