Ukraine wasn't winning anything except the war. They destroyed the Russian navy, wiped out their special forces troops, demolished thousands of tanks, armored vehicles, and a significant percentage of Russia's air force. They've killed and wounded hundreds of thousands of Russian troops. And they've kept Russia's land gains to a minimum. How bow dah? Cash me ou-sigh. (I believe that's your language.) Other than that, they haven't done much. For example, they have not won the Super Bowl, the college national championships, the NBA Finals, the World Series, or Dancing with the Stars. Just the war. That's all they were winning.

Chem, as I posted earlier, when one looks at it objectively (Forget the bots you are arguing with whom are paid from Moscow), Ukraine has accomplished a stunning stalemate in a conflict with a power that had every advantage except one - Military competence. A nation with virtually no Air Force or Navy and an Army sorely lacking in weapons has: 1) Defeated a Russian "blitzkreig" campaign against Kiev, inflecting staggering losses on an ill prepared and completely bungled opening operation. 2) Launched a counter offensive (with captured Russian assests (lmao) and caused the Russians to retreat). 3) Neutralized the Russian Navy and Air-Force. 4) Caused many a Putin sympathizer to get tossed out of balcony windows. 5) Revealed just how fractured Russian tactics are as revealed by the "Wagner" catastrophe. 6) Has generally held the line, albeit with some reverses due to lack of NATO / Republican aid. 7) Caused enormous Russian losses in manpower and equipment. In disproportionate numbers. By any measure, what the Kremlin thought would be a "lightning" campaign of a few weeks has turned into an unadulterated nightmare. 2 years in, with casulty reports numbering in the 6 figures, what is Russia really proving here? Killing civilians, kidnapping children, destroying Ukraines infrastructure, putting an entire region into a war footing. Russia is causing the complete destruction of entire swaths of Ukraine. Not only that Finland and Sweden have gone NATO. I suppose the ski's have reached a point on no return now, win or (ELSE). Free the aid up and watch the Ski's impale themselves on NATO technology. Talking to you House of Representatives. (Uhhhh who the hell DOES the House Represent these days anyway?)
I remember when you said, back in late 2022, that Russia had lost more troops than they had ever inserted into theatre at that time.
The rub lies in that last question. It is not in the national interest of the USA for Ukraine to fall to Russia.
Wherein the ‘national interest’ is maintaining American hegemony, otherwise known as “Full Spectrum Dominance’, regardless the number of nations that need to be destroyed as American proxies.
LOL, this is only off-topic for those in full-blown denial. Koch was bankrolling Haley because she was supportive of increasing our involvement in the war of topic. That Koch pulled the plug on the spokesperson of the month for our military industrial complex is relevant to this thread.
Europe breaks free of Russian oil for good, dealing Putin an economic blow and any potential of using the oil as leverage over Europe. Blow to Putin as Europe breaks free of Russian oil for good
I don’t normally like cnn but thought this Macron quote was very interesting. Live updates: Russia's war in Ukraine Sending Western troops to Ukraine “cannot be ruled out," French President Emmanuel Macron said Monday after hosting a conference in Paris where European leaders discussed the prospect. “We will do anything we can to prevent Russia from winning this war,” Macron said. “And I say this with determination, but also with a collective humility that we need to have, in the light of the last two years." “The people that said 'never ever' today were the same ones who said never ever planes, never ever long-range missiles, never ever trucks. They said all that two years ago. A lot around this table said that 'we will offer helmets and sleeping bags,' and now they are saying we need to do more to get missiles and tanks. We have to be humble and realize that we (have) always been six to eight months late," Macron said.
A former CIA chief responsible for Russia says that Putin was correct in his prediction that cowards in America would lose their nerve and fail to continue supporting Ukraine. Ex-CIA Russia chief: Putin proving doubters wrong on Ukraine The truth is that the U.S. has a lot of simple-minded people that are easily swayed by propaganda, either from the orange god or from Russia, even when it's obviously false. You can kind of see how Hitler took charge of Germany after brain-washing people and getting them riled up over other groups of people (Immigrants! AAAAAGHHH ! ! !). Some people fall for that sort of thing, I guess. History will probably call them Putin's Pansies. Putin doesn't have to own all of America; just 51%.
I like the message it sends to Putin but I think we’d be more likely to provide air support in the form of missile strikes, bombing, and drones than to actually put boots on the ground.
I’m not sure I’d really support putting American troops on the ground, but I wonder what would happen if NATO put troops in Ukraine around Kiev and other Ukrainian held areas?
