Well, if they didn't prefer Drumpf out of abject stupidity, racism and misogyny, then sticking with that loser and POS might make sense.

Bob Costas in an interview this morning on the Michael Smerconish show advocating that Biden should give up his bid for reelection made the observation that the real Trump Derangement Syndrome is the slavish devotion to Trump by the Donald's supporters. The point that Costas was trying to make was that while Biden's apparent cognitive impairment could damage his candidacy Trump's obvious cognitive impairment wouldn't affect his supporters in the least who would vote for the Donald no matter what. By the more accurate definition it seems that you're the one who is suffering from TDS and like others affected by the syndrome you have absolutely no idea that you are a member of a cult. Poor fella.

LOL .... now you and others are trying to redefine the malady from which y'all suffer. That's cute but won't work. Carry on.

But, back to the original topic ..... did Fani lie in her testimony??

New cellphone data raises questions about testimony on Fani Willis relationship | PBS NewsHour

"Cellphone location data cited in a court filing Friday raises questions about the testimony given by a special prosecutor in the Georgia election interference case against former President Donald Trump who had a romantic relationship with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

The cellphone location data — disclosed in a court filing by Trump’s attorneys — shows prosecutor Nathan Wade had visited the neighborhood south of Atlanta where Willis lived at least 35 times during the first 11 months of 2021, an investigator said. Wade had testified that he had been there fewer than 10 times before he was hired as special prosecutor in November 2021.

The new filing raises fresh questions about the timeline of the relationship between Willis and Wade as Trump and other defendants, who are accused of illegally trying to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia, have argued that both prosecutors should be removed from the case because their romantic relationship created a conflict of interest.

The investigator, Charles Mittelstadt, wrote that the data show that Nathan Wade visited the area in Hapeville where Willis lived at least 35 times during the first 11 months of 2021. Wade had testified during a hearing last week that he had visited the Hapeville condo where Willis was living fewer than 10 times before he was hired as special prosecutor on Nov. 1, 2021."

I mean, this should be enough, right? I know I haven't visited a colleague's condo 10 times in a year unless we got something going on. 35 versus 10 feels like semantics in the overall, but if he lied attempting to downplay the relationship, it's still relevant. Does anybody here really think there wasn't something going on in 2021?

Good defense work. Smoke and mirrors, don’t look at the stinking evidence.

I sure the claim the cellular data was corrupted and inaccurate will be made tomorrow.

I believe they've already run with that narrative, but Wade himself testified to 10 visits in 2021, so we don't have to speculate. We're just discussing 35 visits versus 10 at this stage, right? Where's the plausible deniability in 10 visits to her condo in 2021? Wade himself admitted this under oath.

They still have to prove a conflict of interest. Going to her condo isn't going to do that. It will have to be some convoluted logic that she only brought the charges against Trump in order to hire Wade, pay him, and then benefit herself financially from that. That's a pretty high bar to prove absent any texts or testimony explicitly stating that was her plan all along.

They don't necessarily have to "prove" anything. The appearance of impropriety is a standard that is often used in these types of situations. There is zero chance that judge is going to allow Fani Willis to continue. This is the former POTUS. He will get the defendant benefit of the doubt 100 times out of 100.

We'll see. I'm not an expert on this but I think you're being a tad optimistic about the chances of this succeeding.

While Richard W. Painter, a law professor and former chief White House ethics lawyer during the George W. Bush administration, wrote on X on Saturday that "the evidence does not meet Georgia's legal standard for disqualifying Ms. Willis," he added that "it would be best for the case that Willis voluntarily resign and that Wade also not continue to work on the case."

Anna Bower, a courts correspondent at the legal news site Lawfare who has been covering the Fulton County case against Trump, told MSNBC's Katie Phang on Saturday that "it is really important for people to understand what" Georgia's legal standard to disqualify a prosecutor is, adding "it is if there is an actual conflict. It's not enough to show an appearance of impropriety under Georgia law."

Perhaps with regard to the cases the DA’s office has against Trump, etal but …… given the nature of what’s transpired between Willis and Wade, they both should be removed from the actions against Trump, etal and, if they hand any integrity, they would resign from their positions in the DA’s office.

Hiring your boyfriend and paying him over $600K and then lie about the relationship under oath is really bad form for a prosecutor.

Do 100% agree with this statement. If Willis/Wade force the judge's hand, it will blow up. If they somehow manage to hang on, Willis and Wade will hamper the case significantly and it keeps feeding the Trump narrative to the voters. The best thing that could happen for people who don't want Donald Trump to become president again is for the judge to throw the case out.

As it stands, in a state where Trump allegedly tried to overturn their election, he leads by roughly 8 points in the polls. You would think the people of Georgia would be up in arms over what he allegedly tried to do, but they're not and this case is a big reason why. If they had just left it alone, it would have hurt Trump's persecution narrative and it would have hindered his turnout in November.

Wade should have recused himself as soon as the relationship became romantic. Period. Full Stop.

Everything else, while 100% completely and entirely irrelevant to the substance of the case, is an unnecessary distraction.
