Walton said in that interview that she's always been a streaky hitter and has to learn to make the little adjustments. I think that also means mentally personally. She'll be fine I think jsut may take a while. I love what Brown does but Rothrock is defintley the ace. Also hoped it would translate to us and it seems to have.

 

I think Keegan's injury coupled with Brown's fantastic senior year kind of shifted the focus a little. But Keegan is starting to look like the generational type pitcher many saw thru her junior year.

Agree on Mia. This is painful, but she will be better for it down the road

 

Really a shame that happened as CC was a heckuva player

 

No hitter was saved by the Williams error at SS, subbing for Wallace. If this were an away game, it might have been scored a hit. OTOH, I have no doubt Wallace would have made a spectacular play and gotten the out had she been playing.

Given the level of competition, CTW had lots of players getting experience in different positions. He probably asked Smiley to take an at bat.

 

UIC a team whose first win last year was in April, has won 3 games in a row at this tournament. They aren't on a level like Alabama, tennesee, or even USF with Georgina in the circle. They seem like a scrappy team.
