The bolded is something I really think gets overlooked. Yes, I don't think Biden is as quick as he had been, but that doesn't mean he is stupid or has poor judgement.

Through the ages we venerated the old for their wisdom. Now being old brings nothing but ridicule. "Ok Boomer" is a great example of the disrespect many have for the elders now days.

I think you are missing the point, people are pointing out that Trump is in decline to negate the point Biden is in decline. Not the other way around.

Trump's crew is making it a huge deal. Others are pointing out Trump has the same issue, and maybe even worse.

Wait so two years in a row, the state has ran over budget to the toon of over 100 billion. The state bleed people for years and continues to create programs that cost money. Yet you think it’s about to have a surplus. Oh also, how many of those big tech companies have been laying people off the past 12 months.

You are not living in reality if you think all the sudden they are going to have a massive surplus as you suggested.

All RFK jr has is his name. He is stupidly wrong on vaccines. That is enough for me to drop him from consideration.

This reflects a viewpoint prevalent on the right and represents the difference between the right and the left. From my point of view, the right has no problem with tax policy that benefits the wealthy nor with bloated programs favored by the "havs".

Reasonable people can disagree is my point.

Not sure how we got on this topic.

I think the right mostly wants to keep corporate tax rate down.
The rich pay more taxes than most of the country and it’s been that way no matter who the president is. The top 10% pay 76% of all taxes.

Anyhow back to reality, California and our country as a whole has a spending problem, not a tax revenue problem.

Now the interest on our debt will soon surpass that of our defense spending. Imagine seeing all of that and thinking, we don’t tax the rich enough.
    Damn clown country.

Link? Also, what is tax rate rather than amount? Finally what spending would you cut?

POST #64 is how we got on this topic.

I think Newsom is waiting for 2028 and also believe Biden would not have run for reelection if Drumpf would have been buried as he should have been.

It’s amusing to see Trump fanboys and fan girls rail on Biden for his age and mental gaffes when Trump has just as many spells of mumbling, misremembering and mispronouncing words, and he’ll only get worse with age.

You seem dim. I just pointed out why CA had a budget surplus 2 years ago and why they will have one next year (on account of an awesome move in equity markets last year).

    Who Pays Income Taxes?.

The defense is a great start. Why on earth do we have bases everywhere...

Social Security needs a very thorough audit. Not sure how possible it is though. The manpower to do it would be costly as well.

Also, how is 14% of our budget "Health"? That does not include Medicare.

Lot of overhaul is necessary. That it doesn't makes my point, and perhaps yours: everyone has their "this is necessary", and soon we have rapidly increasing debt. My solution? Make drastic cuts in spending and reform the tax code. Will it happen? Not in my lifetime. Everyone has to give a little, an impossibility in today's climate of divisiveness.

His brain must be the consistency of apple sauce. I’m worried that when he’s finally imprisoned we won’t know what’s happened to him. That would suck.

John’s Hopkins Doc sounds the alarm bells.

Dr. John Gartner on a tale of two brains: "Biden's brain is aging. Trump's brain is dementing"

Donald Trump has demonstrated, in repeated and dangerous ways, that he appears to be profoundly unwell mentally and emotionally. Some of the country’s and world’s leading mental health professionals have concluded that based on his behavior, Trump is likely a sociopath if not a psychopath.

In this conversation, Gartner argues that it is actually Donald Trump and not President Biden who is showing diminished mental acuity and dangerous behavior related to aging. Gartner explains that Donald Trump’s escalating dangerousness is connected to what he believes is a diseased mind that will only get worse. Gartner warns that given Trump’s dangerous personality and emotional state, (Gartner describes this as “hypomanic” behavior) he is almost certainly plotting revenge and how to make his “enemies” suffer as revenge for finally being held accountable by the courts and the rule of law. At the end of this conversation, Gartner explains how even on his worst day as an older person, President Biden is a far superior leader and decision-maker (and human being) than Donald Trump.

What evidence do you have for that conclusion?

"Phonemic paraphasias" —the substitution of non-words for words that sound similar—are not normally seen until a patient enters the moderate to severe stages of Alzheimer’s.

At this point, anybody with an IQ over 90, who isn't brainwashed by Fox News can see that Trump is unwell, dangerously unfit, malignant personality who has reaped massive destruction (have we just forgotten the hundreds of thousands of Covid deaths?) but even "mainstream" news sources have been normalizing Trump's dangerous and aberrant behavior because the corporate owners of the media want the ad money and don’t want to alienate their potential public by telling too much of the truth about the situation. Instead, they waste precious time talking about if President Biden is too old.

It doesn’t even matter. His followers aren’t even voting for the man anymore they’re voting for the idea of the man and what comes with that. Even if he’s just a head in a jar they are basically saying they think his handlers are better for country than Biden’s.

In all honesty I llisten in the car to both speak regularly via YouTube of their entire speech and have been quite shocked by the mental decline of Trump in recent weeks. It is very very noticeable.

You can’t say it better than that. Trump has a diseased mind to go along with his diseased personality.
