You can sense the desperation in the West as the realities begin to dawn on their leading thinkers. Years of building showroom ‘good-weather’ armies meant to impress buyers at MIC-enabled arms expos have left Western military doctrines woefully out of date concerning how real wars are fought.

I didn't think you'd accept responsibility for what you have done. Deflect and distract. The truth is apparently a little too much to deal with.

Can someone explain to me why Zelenskyy saluted a former Nazi SS officer in Canadian parliament?

Avdiivka is a town in Ukraine. That is the truth. If you want to know more, try reading.

What I read is that he was introduced as a former member of the Ukranian military who fought in WW2. He probably didn't know his whole history.

I know where it is. Unlike you, I could find Ukraine on a map prior to 2022. I was hinting at the catastrophic loss of Ukraine’s “greatest fortress city.”

Looking back and dismantling the deeply absurd trope of Kyiv in three days …

Let’s first dispense with the silly theory that Russia wanted to “capture” Kiev. Really, “capture” is one of those buzzwords that get thrown casually around without people really thinking about what it means. The Kiev metropolitan area is home to nearly 3.5 million people, and as the capital it is a stronghold of Ukrainian security organs. Capturing a city doesn’t just mean blasting your way to the city center; this isn’t a game of tag. Capturing means controlling, policing, countering insurgency, and asserting political control. The force that Russia brought to bear around Kiev was clearly insufficient for this task. Furthermore, in the opening phase of the war, Russian forces consistently bypassed urban areas, except for in the south and the east – more on that in a bit.

IMO if NATO and American Republicans pull their head out of theit A*S and support the Ukrainian effort as they had been doing, Ukraine will
    do just fine.

Without the aid, well it's all over and Ukraine will be domino 1 of several to fall in Western Europe for Putin.

I imagine it would also represent the greatest foreign policy disaster by the USA since .............. hmmm, perhaps it would be #1!

The world order will shift to Eastern Europe and Chinese Asia.

LOL, more money for what ? Russia manufactures 7 x as many artillery shells per month as the U.S. and NATO combined.

Reportedly, Ukrainian soldiers watch their cellphones in vain for signals that the Republicans are agreeing to send more weapons and are reportedly losing morale at the inaction.

This is stupidly tragic as even if funding was released it would take forever to get new weapons in their hands.

People who clamor for funding Ukraine don’t care one wit for Ukrainians, wherein the promise of sustained funding is the thing that keeps Ukrainians dying and brings their country closer and closer to oblivion.

How does he not know that? He flies all the way to Canada to meet Trudeau. His people don't stop him at some point and say "ahem, sir, ole boy's a former Nazi SS officer?" And that's who we're entrusting the $200 billion to?
