Yeah, my college team is hurting this year too. Not normal for our men's hockey team to struggle like they have.
My uncle was on the 1964 Olympic hockey team in Insbrook. So I come from a big hockey family. I remember watching the replay that evening with my dad and he was crying like a baby at the end. And Go Bruins!
I remember it well and it was celebrated all over the country. Even someone like me born and raised in Florida. I did ee a Macon Whoppee game live. Lot of fun. My wife is from Massena NY on the Canadian border and her cousin payed for Macon so we went up there to watch him play.
I was able to retire from a very stressful job on a full pension at 55 after 32 years on the job. Been married over 48 years, 2 great adult kids and 4 grandkids. Been blessed.
I hear you bro. 37 years with a Fortune 500 corporation and retired in Margaritaville. Married 45 years, 2 daughters, 4 granddaughters Thank you Jesus
I was just joking about Slavic cuisine; it really is delicious when properly prepared. But I wasn't joking even a little bit about my thoughts and feelings regarding the worker's paradise - then or now. Bon appetite!
A whole lot of words, to never address the miracle on ice. Narcissist much? This thread wasn't about your irrelevant hockey kids who I wish the best for. But.. The miracle on ice was a national turning point
It's not uncommon for posters to share their personal experiences related to a given topic. I relocated 12 yrs ago from Gainesville to a hockey place. Celebrated championships happily in both places. I can't imagine what I could have written to suggest a narcissist label, but I guess there's a first time for everything.
I agree with you. When I was following it closely back in the mid 80s, it was the best sport there is. Nothing more thrilling than sudden death overtime back in the day.
