Well good for you. Trying is admirable, and though I don’t see much progress, Rome wasn’t built in a day. In order to speed your progress I suggest not focusing on which guy or gal to believe but rather which guy not to believe, like or support. Once you figure that out the rest will follow.
If you start with a snarky post, don't be surprised when you get snarky responses. Especially when you dig in and try to defend an indefensible position.
Has there been any recent legislation proposed that is exclusively requesting/expanding aid to Ukraine? If so, can you provide a link to it? Thanks in advance?
Does this work or do you think the Republicans in the House really want to pass the Ukraine aid but just aren't sold on that aid to Isreal? The Senate early Tuesday passed an emergency spending package that would provide military aid to Ukraine and Israel; replenish U.S. weapons systems; and provide food, water, and other humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza. The Senate jettisoned from the package a bipartisan effort to boost immigration enforcement at the U.S.-Mexico border after most Republican senators, following the lead of former President Donald Trump, deemed the bipartisan proposal inadequate. Abandoning the border proposal brought the price tag of the bill down to about $95.3 billion. Now that the Senate has approved the emergency spending package, it is up to the Republican-led House to take it up, change it or let it die. Speaker Mike Johnson cast new doubt on the package in a statement Monday evening, making clear that it could be weeks or months before Congress sends the legislation to President Joe Biden’s desk — if at all. What's inside the Senate's $95 billion bill to aid Ukraine and Israel and counter China
Please give me a real world example of how we would, "straighten stuff up" with Putin any more than we have without him retaliating. Not Trumpian fake tough guy language, but a real world action that wouldn't risk war. Right now by arming Ukraine, we are depleting their resources, weapons and army without firing a single shot or risking a single US soldier's life. That's called smart strategy. Not the kind of "short, short man" bluster that Trump likes to throw around while doing nothing.
Meh, but the annexation of Crimea took place under Obama and Obama did nothing about it. You can't lay that in any way at Trump's feet. Why should Trump have to fix Obama's foreign policy crisis? You do understand it was Biden/Obama who drove that crisis, don't you? Trump did shut down Nordstream 2, which is big, because had work continued on Nordstream 2, who knows what position Germany would have taken in 2022. In essence, Trump made it easier for Europe to break away from Russian gas dependence by killing that pipeline. And this was the intent as he stated to Stoltenberg at the NATO summit.
Putin is trolling Democrats I suspect but he might like knowing his IQ is 50-70 points above Biden's. Remember when Democrats (or was it the CIA) created pro-Yrump bot farms (trolling farms) and said Russia did it? Putin can troll too. Crimea voted overwhelmingly to join the Russian Federatio (officially 97% for annexation). As far as first languages go over 75% of Crimeans prefer Russian, 10% Ukrainian. The US Deep State removed the democratically elected president of Ukraine in Feb 2014 because he was friendly to Russia. The CIA backed Chechen terrorists inside Russia. Look at things from Russia's perspective. Ever-improving AI is being used to help make you hate Putin and Russia. If Putin was gone the new leader might be a s nice as Putin, who liked the West. Think about that. Putin has no interest in attacking Poland or the Baltic states and Trump knows this. NATO should be repurposed or dissolved. It's primarily a political organization that works against the interests of it's own people.
Our disputants will argue that NATO is purely a defensive organization (that has moved 16 countries and 1,000 km to the East since 1991).
It's true, despots like Putin want to deal with complete idiots representing other countries like Biden does the U.S.A..
Fixed it for you It's true, despots like Putin want to deal with complete idiots representing other countries like Biden Trump does the U.S.A who effectively controls the US House of Representatives and is able to block aid to Ukraine to the benefit of Putin's Russia.
Noting that those 16 countries joined NATO because they feared reoccupation by an aggressive Russia and as it's turning out they made a rational and prudent decision.
