First, I realize that Putin is not trustworthy at all. I also realize that all of you have said repeatedly that Trump voters belong to the cult and will vote for him no matter what. So, Putin saying this is basically for the voters that maybe haven't made up their minds and will vote for Trump. So, in essence you guys are saying that the non-lemming, non-cultist are that stupid that this will send them to the polls to vote for Trump.
Trump said he was tougher on Putin than anybody. If that's true, why does does Putin want to make it harder on himself?
Think about this, logically. Putin is almost universally despised in America, and everyone knows this. Him throwing support behind Biden is obviously a way to weaken support for him. What reason would Putin have to publicly support Biden’s reelection?
Putin plays chess. Trump and anyone willing to vote for him plays 'sit in my diapy dipes and fling feces out of it at any adult that walks by.'
This thread is exhibit A why he said it. Look at the division created by such a simple statement. If interested in applying a tiny smidge of thinking power though: Biden is trying to approve tens of billions of dollars in aid for Ukraine to fight against Russia Trump wants to stop all aid to Ukraine and said he'd encourage Russia to attack our NATO allies (if not dismantle NATO entirely) Which do you think is Putin's preference for the next four years?
Point made, but Biden's weak response to helping Ukraine is merely a band aid and the war seems to be a stalemate at this point. We need to either send them TODAY enough force to finish them, what I think Trump would do, or just keep sending a little at a time and stretch it out, which is what's happening now. Too many people have died already with our current slow roll out of the supplies needed.
Biden is responding the best he can dealing with the oppositional forces in this country and not crossing lines of sending hardware with which Ukraine could strike deep into Russia that could be considered an act of war. In other words, he's leading with his brain and statesmanship and not macho idiocy.
I understand your thinking, I just don't agree. I would think the 100's of thousands of dead Ukrainians probably don't agree either.
That is not what I said. The entire world and Putin know that we are supporting Ukraine now. He is already in a war with the US. We just don't hardly hit back. We do the same with China. I absolutely do not want another war, and my belief is when you send a balloon over our country, we blow it to smithereens the second it crosses into our air space. I believe when the US shows strength and conviction, the world is a safer place. If the big bad ass on block never gets out of his rocking chair to straighten $hit up, they keep pushing the limits until we have to go in full force. You hit me with a stick, I beat your a$$ and you won't try to get a bigger stick! This may not set well with you and others, but this is my opinion. I understand the ramifications, but the more strength we show, the less chance of a real war. Again, just my opinion.
What makes you think that Trump would provide more significant aid to Ukraine that Biden is trying to do? It's Republicans that are holding it up and I've only seen Trump make statements to the effect that it's not our problem.
Well, Trump has said he would end the war in 24hours. Definitely hyperbole, but I take that as, he will tell both of them to solve the issue and stop the war and our response will be either to pull out completely and let Russia win and move across the country or we will send enough to back Putin back to his homeland. One of those two things I think would be the option, I just believe pulling out and letting Russia win is not the option he would take. But I also do not believe that Trump is Putin's bitch like so many on the left believe. I may be wrong but that is what I think.
Sorry but that's delusional thinking. He has given absolutely no indication that he would support funding Ukraine to allow them to prevail against Ukraine. If only someone else had thought of "telling them to end the war." The only way to interrupt Trump's comment (other than his normal bluster of "it's so easy!" when in reality he has zero plan) is that he would immediately halt all aid to Ukraine and leave them on their own.
@Gatoragman definitely wins the award for the most deceptive title of a thread on this board. This is the actual title of the linked article in the original post. Putin Says He Prefers Biden Over Trump. Commentators Are Skeptical. While Vladimir Putin may have said that he want's Biden elected it's rather obvious that he is doing his best to ensure that his best bud and absolute puppet returns to the White House.
trump is potus. Runs a $3T deficit in 2020. More than Obama’s last 4 years combined. trump is potus an additional 1M Americans die of viral infection
Let’s take a moment to self-inject ourselves with truth serum. Now that it’s taken foot … do you believe Putin?
It was either Trump just saying what he wants to say for a particular audience, or maybe he knows what will satiate his pal, Putin. Because the one thing we know from actual facts is that he despises Ukraine and its leadership (because they wouldn’t sell him dirt on Biden).
Yeah, Putin wants the guy elected who is supplying Ukraine with weapons instead of the guy who has said he'd end the war in a day ... you guys will believe anything ...
