That a legit business deal that the kids can either take or leave. But they know that the fame of being in the game will pay dividends down the road... I would sign on if I were them.

As illegal as it is on paper, that’s the way it’s being done across the board yet they are selectively trying to prosecute. Same shit different day if you ask me.. the corruption from the top is way more disgusting than a kid buying his mom a house with some dipshit boosters money.

True... but I'll bet a lot of them if not all would get a huge kick out of seeing their name in that game. It's iconic .

Yeah, just like speeding isn't against the law if you don't get caught doing it? Sorry... laws have to be obeyed.

    That's not the point. ;)

The point is that it's a contract... and then EA can legally use your name, image and likeness in a game legally.

If you say "no" and don't sign that contract you are then NOT IN THEIR GAME... It's a brilliant business strategy for EA sports. And it's great publicity for the players that sign on.

Except there’s not a single school doing the speed limit. It’s a joke.

Not worth it for $600, is a star. They could put you on cover, use your likeness for advertising

Pay-for-play is NOT legal. If you disagree then let's just agree to disagree and end this debate now. Okay?

Also known as illegal enticements to get a player to sign with your school.

I think the analogy would be that if ten of us in a group and are all speeding down the turnpike doing 90mph but a state trooper only pulls me over and the other 9 keep going. Selective. Though….it may be that out of the 10 cars the state trooper cannot pull over everyone breaking the law but the one car that pulls over (in this case, that would be UF pulling over in the analogy) is busted and everyone else keeps speeding along (rest of the teams keep cheating since they decided not to pull over).

    To further the metaphor…..
Bama and UGa got NCAA-issued radar detectors. After getting locked up and punished for trying to go it on our own, now we’re smart to drop in line a few car lengths behind them. If we try to pass them we’re gonna get busted. Again. It’s the NCAA way

Indeed. So right now the NCAA is setting up a potential hammer against UT and UF, and BAMA, UGA, Ohio State, LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss, and all the other "Player Buyers" get a pass. If it goes down that way Gator Country should create a petition of objection from our posters and send that forthwith to the NCAA.

Yep, and life isn't always fair to all... But it is true that not everyone can/will get caught, but at least the ones committing this pay-for-play crime have to be looking over their shoulders and cannot act with impunity or with complete disregard of the law/s..

It seems to me that the definition of "societal rules" in the ole USA should be changed to mean:
Those in power whom set the rules are EXEMPT from them, only applies to the lower classes.

LOL so Nick Saban is dedicating himself (I heard on ESPN radio yesterday) to "saving" college football going forward?

Well gee Nicky, ain't that grand, you worked for, participated in, and developed, the most corrupt culture in College Football
and now you want to "save it"?? LMAO I have no doubt you would love to keep Bama at the forefront of corruption and advantage.

    The hypocisy is mind bending.

It’s not legal but every school including us is paying for play. They need enforcement of rules across the board.
and they checked what state your tag was from before deciding who to pull over

Maybe not the first but they've been trying to do it for over 60 years and because they were not punished significantly at any point, they have won the most. More proof that the saying "cheaters never prosper" is totally false.

Urban knew what the gumps were doing and got frustrated also. Hence his desire to leave.
