Heck of an effort! Being a nearly 10 point underdog at their place, we played about as well as hoped especially with how the game was called. If a couple things fall our way, we walk out of there with a win. Shame to have the turnaround at the end after playing so well.
Fun game. Obviously some things at the end of regulation and OT that they will wish they had mulligans on, but that’s generally what happens when you lose a close one. Wasn’t sure about not fouling at the end, but it almost worked if we rebounded the damn ball. Kind of crazy not much more than a month ago we were wondering if this team would win ANY true road game. Now they have confidence to play well in any environment.
We were 1 play away from winning in regulation, which means no one would have complained about Kugel. It's only an issue because we were 1 play short over 40 minutes....which means it's not an issue whatsoever. I don't think we had tired legs in OT - I thought we were emotionally flat, and that (perhaps) caused us to settled a little on O to start OT.
It's all good. A free throw or two more and we win in regulation. A bounce here or there, we win in regulation or in overtime. It didn't happen, but this team has got the weapons to go on a run in March.
Exactly. And as long as we beat the hell out of Bama at home I can stomach this. We got revenge against UK, we better against this thug team.
