In spite of a very favorable whistle Bama is down at the half mostly because they shot poorly from the arc. If we can keep them shooting poorly from the arc we might win even in spite of a whistle that doesn't go our way.
Clayton - 13 points (5-of-13 FG, 3-of-8 3pt, 2 Reb, 1 Stl, 1 Asst, 0 TO) Richard - 11 points (4-of-7 FG, 1-of-4 3pt, 2-of-2 FT, 1 Reb, 1 Stl, 0 TO) Z. Pullin - 5 points (2-of-6 FG, 1-of-2 3pt, 1 Reb, 2 Asst, 1 TO)
I don’t know if this point we can say were the better team. But we definitely belong. I guarantee you when we get into the tournament time no other team including number one seeds is gonna want to see us on their quarter. We could be this year‘s darling unexpected success.
You notice we came out at the beginning of the game throwing everything down in the paint. Clearly, that was TG’s goal. Got to get the refs to start calling a fair fight though.
Regardless of the result, this game has affirmed for me that come March, we can beat anybody. I don’t know if we could pull off 6 in a row, but this team is legit.
Agree, though i don't think we can rely on them continuing to miss 3s. Where we really need to tighten up is on the defensive rebounding, they're killing us on the boards...and in the paint in general. Everyone needs to toughen up in the 2nd half. We were punched in the mouth (repeatedly), now let's fight back
Bama will come alive from the three-point line in the second half and Florida fans will complain about a collapse.
We haven't shot particularly well from 3 either. 5 of 16 is nothing to write home about. So we have room for improvement on the first half. Hopefully CTG tells them they can play better and not to settle.
Why is Pullin allowing Sears to just put his head down and push him backwards. Pullin has to have 30 pounds on that guy.
