I know things happen between teammates but whomever did the video/social to let this out should be fired.

It’s making the rounds over the last day and may be the most talked about thing in NCAA baseball.

    Not a great look

Intrasquads get testy sometimes. Who cares?
But yeah, whoever thought that was what we wanted to show out of it is hella dumb.

It does show some truth. Thomas is the Gator most likely to do an excessive bat flip and watch his home runs without leaving the box and Heyman is not one to put up with such behavior.I don't doubt we'll see more of that from both during the season. Someone mentioned in the 2/20 UNF thread that the ump and Sully had words about a Cags bat flip. I saw the exchange, but didn't realize the cause. Given the number and frequency of Cags' boomers, he gets some slack from me.He enjoys his own hits and shows it, but Thomas needs to be a more frequent slugger before he does that.

Thomas is a bit much for my taste. Hell, his antics tonight after his HR, you would have thought it was to send the Gators to the CWS. Someone give that kid some decaf.

It’s a bit early for me to judge. Could benefit from Dale’s fire down the road… that energy may be needed against certain programs full of Dale Thomases that rhyme with Tennessee. BT skirted that line sometimes, and I think most of us look back fondly on his energy and fire.

I personally think Dale is over the topic based on his production to date. He has done nothing IMO to be as loud as he is. My concern is it causes unnecessary emotion during key moments that causes a loss in focus from the team. Guys like this used to drive me nuts. All talk and nothing to show. However, if he puts up stats this year then I guess it will become 'tolerable'.

Valid. Just saying 5 games is a bit early for me. I’ll reevaluate in April…

    Agree jd—

This usually turns one of two ways—the player is either a fire starter in the dugout or he’s a cancer—we shall see….
