Well it was always a Russian plant, but for a period of time, that person was lying to the FBI until he got caught, at which we time we confirmed he was a Russian plant.

Well, for one, you are equating two different issues: the laptop vs. the bribery accusation. Second, we still don't really know the chain of custody on the laptop. The shop owner has been unable to say who brought it to him (and, in fact has contradicted himself multiple times on important evidenciary issues) and forensic analysis has been unable to determine who wrote many of the emails. When adding onto the information that the laptop story was originally pitched to Giuliani by a guy being paid by the GRU in Ukraine, it is suggestive, although not proven, that they at least interfered in that evidence. Third, we now have direct evidence of Russian intelligence sources attempting to build bribery allegations against both Hunter and Joe Biden (which was not supported by the laptop).

He’s not being charged but a lot of the other bullshit the House committee is alleging is influenced by this. From what I’ve heard around the charges, actually charging him with what is being charged is pretty unusual.

So, like I said first it was fake, then it was real, now it is fake. This all while it has been proved to be real, and the computer guy is blind so I doubt he can pick anyone out of a lineup!!!

Here's a hint. IT'S NEVER BEEN REAL!!! It was assumed to be Russian agents, but that wasn't proven. The far right pushed the evidence and things were properly investigated. And in the end, it turned out those who said it was Russian agents were proven right all along. How is this difficult to understand?

But I guess if you believe the phrase "Biden crime family," still has merit, you'll grasp at anything and everything to make you look less like the fool you are.

I expected some dumb delfections and justifications but this is the equivalent of a defense attorney saying "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury. First they brought my client in for questioning. Then they let him go. Now all of a sudden they charge with him with a crime because they discovered video evidence??? The prosecution just can't make up their mind."

So, there was never a laptop owned by Hunter that the FBI now claims they have, but apparently, they don't? Hunter's lawyers threaten lawsuits for people dealing in stolen info from a laptop that never existed. They must have moved it to area 51!
So you guys are back to believing that the laptop never existed?

Ever hear the phrase, "Chain of custody"? The laptop exists, but the shop keeper can't prove how he got it, or when. And there is no way to prove everything on the laptop comes directly from Hunter Biden. There is now direct evidence that the FBI informant who was feeding Hunter intel to right wing politicians was, 100%, a Russian Agent. Is it not possible the Russians got a hold of the laptop, put damaging information on it, and they are the ones who gave it to the shop owner? We'll never know for sure, because again, there is no confirmed chain of custody. And the shop keeper? He's changed his story several times.

So, when's the last time you used the phase, "Biden crime family?" I could use a good laugh these days.

Plus people sometimes refer to themselves as addicts or alcoholics long after they have quit using. His book may suggest he was still using IDK not going to read it.

Note: I edited the thread title since there are multiple things going on here.

As an example of MSM malfeasance, the news about the Russia connection to this was reported on page A16 of The NY Times.

    The Left on informants:
FBI informant Steele - “some of the stuff on Trump was true….”
FBI informant Smirnov - “see, on Biden it’s ALL made up by MAGA…”

    Right

In this case, both true. That guy was the only actual evidence they had connected to Biden, and unless I missed it, Christopher Steele wasn't a Russian agent and was transparent about the level of corroboration in his report.

Steele wasn't an FBI informant and he was (and probably still is) a respected former MI6 agent.
Smirnov is an agent of the Russian government and may very well flee back to the land of Putin if given the opportunity. By the way the FBI warned Congress that Smirnov may not be credible. The boys of MAGA nation were so intent on impeaching Joe Biden that they chose to ignore the agency.

I would be interested to see if any were stand alone charges.

I don’t know, but his aren’t either. He also has charges for providing false information to a licensee in connection with the attempted purchase of a firearm and submitting false information in a record required by law to be maintained by a licensee (the substantive prohibited person charge, and two charges for lying on a 4473 firearms transaction record).
