Will be interesting to see if Desantis has the tiniest shred of self-respect to remove his name or if he's willing to endure four years of being emasculated.

 

Not sure that Scott will ultimately be on the short list, but the South Carolina primary is Saturday, and so I'm sure it makes sense for Trump to be seen with him and talking about him.

 

Seems well thought out. 6 names on the list and two of them can't receive electoral votes from Florida due to both of them being from there.

Although Haley would be the strongest candidate as Trump's running mate and would be the rare running mate who could actually enhance the ticket there is absolutely no way that he would select her and the same applies to Ron DeSantis for the same reason. Donald Trump's narcissistic personality disorder is so strong and his desire for retribution is so intense that he would never select a running mate who had the audacity to mount a serious challenge to his own candidacy and that factor alone would disqualify both Haley and DeSantis. While Scott and Ramaswamy were briefly declared primary candidates they never seriously criticized Trump and dropped out of the race before the first contest (the Iowa caucuses). My guess is that Trump's running mate will either be Kristi Noem, Kari Lake or Elise Stefanik although I wouldn't rule out Scott. Noem and Lake are the most likely since they are both telegenic election deniers. While Stefanik also checks the groveling election denier box the fact the she is slightly overweight could be a disqualifying factor as far as Trump is concerned.

 

Could be, but Ramaswamy is an "entrepreneur" who founded a company that lost over a billion dollars on ~$60 million in revenue last year. Sounds like a Trump sort of "businessman."

 

Mike Pence took the high road and stood up for our country; this went directly against Dear Leader. After that experience trump's number one admin requirement is unfettered loyalty. IMO Nikki ultimately is a principled person. she couldn’t work for Trump as he has proven to be amoral and unethical. Hopefully Nikki sees how many were ruined or at best had a awful experience working for him. Although an overused metaphor but apropos, you dance with the devil….

 

I don’t think it will be Vivek. He will turn off many of the undecideds with his whackadoo theories. Noem is hardcore MAGA, but she’s pretty so that might distract many.
