I would have a hard time putting Trump behind Andrew Johnson and James Buchanan. Maybe even Pierce. I think Trump comes out a little ahead of Harding because of how personally involved he was in so many of the things that happened while he was in office.

Your analysis leaves out what happens if this debt is not taken on. MANY decisions in bidness & elsewhere are choices between 2 or more NEGATIVE NPV investments. Being neg NPV does not mean it is the wrong course of action. Ex. Grocery curbside service is neg NPV for prob all stores. The question tho, is what is the cost of not providing it?

A grocer assumes that the people who use it will often only do so when they are sick, in a big hurry etc. and they will make it back on other visits from the loyalty it engenders.
But my original point was…the option that we didn’t even consider taking was actually paying for it like Ike did. Either through decreased spending in other places or taxes. Because we’ve gotten light years away from anything resembling fiscal responsibility and neither of those are palatable. So we just spend our way to oblivion to “solve” problems. It’s short sighted and cynical.

I get what your saving, but excluding citizens representation is draconian. Imo, it makes the situation worse than listening and controlling those folks with a representative.

Eh, Clinton had probably one of the best economies in human history and bagged an intern. He didn't have to do much. I liked him in Contact though.

Top 5 for beating one of the most disliked Presidents of all time?
    Seriously?
Biden had more covid deaths under his admin with a vaccine than Trump did without and his budget deficit just keeps growing despite huge increases in tax collections.

Nah ... Trump holds the record for budget deficits ... -3.2 Trillion in a single year at the end of his term ... Biden has improved that to an impressive -1.6 trillion ...

    1. infrastructure is a long lived asset...why shouldn't future gens pay for it?
    2. My financial pos is rock solid, but if I was only judged on my (recently acquired) debt, it would not look so good. Hell, I bet a large % of people with $0 wealth have no debt. The US has massive assets v. our debt. I gots parks, national monuments, bike paths, snow plows, 11 aircraft carriers, NASA, the best unis in the world, roads, courts. Colo ski areas are on public land.

Are we leaving the next gen with NET debt? Are we in NET debt right now? Given the massive human capital that US investments have yielded, that's a tough question.

'ats some sweet ass real estate.

We could also add having to deal with the MAGA phenomenon.

And you just ignore Covid shutdowns and printing money so people didn’t starve. I guess you would have rather we let people starve.

What’s Biden’s excuse with a booming Bidennomics economy?

I agree. I think Clinton was the best in my lifetime. He, like every president, certainly had weaknesses. I suspect every knowledgeable and open-minded American will agree Trump was by far the worst. If we wins again, America as I've had the good fortune of living in for the last 80 years is probably done for. (The probably reflects the faint hope enough men and women of courage in Congress and elsewhere will thwart his worst impulese.)

Saving the Union was paramount. Fortunately, he did, and was able to accomplish the latter.

Trump is, correctly, fairly low on the list.

Biden however probably shouldn’t be too far above him. He’s probably the second worst post-Nixon president, he’s just getting a whole lot of undeserved credit by being graded on the “well at least he’s not Trump” curve (which is not that much of an accomplishment given that obviously none of the other non-Trump presidents were either).

Without saying whether that's good or bad, which was what the rankings asked for, your response is just 'too cute' gibberish.

He also considered a plan to ship slaves back to Africa.
Lincoln to Slaves: Go Somewhere Else.

He was a pragmatist in many ways. But it doesn't change the fact that he ultimately set the country on the critical path it absolutely had to go on long term, and won the 2nd most important war in our history. And fundamentally changed the role of the federal government in the process. In the Civil War Documentary, Shelby Foote said it best. this was a very similar quote from another interview. No one since and only the founding fathers before have had a greater fundamental impact on who we are.

“Before the war, it was said "the United States are." Grammatically, it was spoken that way and thought of as a collection of independent states. And after the war, it was always "the United States is," as we say today without being self-conscious at all. And that's sums up what the war accomplished. It made us an "is."

Remembering Civil War Historian Shelby Foote.

What are you talking about man?

    There was no anti-vax rant.
War tried to ignore Biden’s huge deficit despite huge tax receipts by bringing up Trump’s deficit during the peak of Covid.

It’s still a fact More died under Biden’s term with the vaccine than died under Trump without a vaccine. That’s not anti vax dude. That’s the data.

    Seriously try to follow along.

You missed Afghanistan and the 13 American military personnel that needlessly died becasue of Biden's actions and idiotic "escape" plan. More Americans dying at the hands of illegals that Biden is letting invade our nation. That's High treason and should be punishable by death in a court of law, or at least that should be the max sentence in such a case.

Calling for the death of our President? Shameful. What is seriously wrong with you? You one of those civil war people? You received your education at the University of Florida? Doubtful. Unacceptable.

Wow, even presidents I’ve never heard of finished ahead of Trump. Is that like finishing behind “none of the above”?
