The death of the world’s best marathon runner is part of a troubling global trend Such a tragedy and a waste. He seemed on track to beat a 2 hour marathon. So many people dead from senseless auto accidents, and the trends are getting worse.
As more autos hit the road so will accidents. My questions are was he the driver, driving recklessly, and responsible for his own death?
The suggestion from a survivor in the car was that he fell asleep and was veering off the road when she shouted at him. He apparently accelerated, went into a ditch and then a wall. Kiptum panicked and sped into a ditch, crash survivor tells police
Kiptum had unbelievable talent. This probably has nothing to do with Kiptum's death but black traffic fatalities since the death of George Floyd are about 10,000 deaths higher than if Floyd hadn't died. Why? Cops backed off from enforcing the law against black drivers and they became more rambunctious. Black homicides are also up 20,000 since 2020. George Floyd swallowed fentanyl, Democrats went crazy and 30,000 blacks died. Butterfly effect.
Another winner! I notice that since Floyd most drivers in Kenya are Black. Even the cops!! Rambunctiousness galore!!
I know a issue with local traffic and accidents is the number of distracted drivers. It seems many of the accidents these days involve cell phones and I am sure the multi task screens on the newer vehicles contribute as well. I have caught myself looking way to long at the large screen on my dash while going down the road. Add that to over crowded roads.
So it’s a “troubling” global trend when someone causes their own death? I feel a spin coming on this particular incident.
True. So should there be a law against driving while asleep? Or maybe a law against yelling at a sleeping driver. Maybe someone should start a music group called Asleep at the Wheel.
I recall you saying you only joined this board to get intel for your betting and that you'd be leaving soon to join the real world, or something like that. When is soon? Is the betting intel so good here that you just can't leave?
I thought my post was neutral-I was simply curious given what he/she said earlier. Hardly hostile and inhospitable. Mods - feel free to delete if I crossed a line.
