So Melendez still isn't a starter for them? Gotta keep that guy from going off again. And NO overtime!
You don’t have to win this but man, being 8-4 heading into the Bama road game feels very different than 7-5. 8-4 allows you to drop the Bama game and hopefully be 10-5 after two home games against Vandy and Mizzou.
Yep - We don't want the Gators to just get in the Big Dance as an 8 or 9 seed. Keep winning, move into the Top 20-25 and go in as a 5 or 6. To do that we've got to beat the teams we're better than (even on their court) and then sneak in an upset or two.
Classic trap game. We play at Bama next week and have already beaten Georgia Georgia had the week off to prepare for us and given how successful they were pressing us last time, hope we are better prepared
He's shooting 27% from deep this season. 6/10 v FL I actually hope we're not game planning against Melendez.
Thanks once again for the good work, @GatorGrowl ! Conference road games are never easy. That said.......I like our chances! GO Gators!
I hope our guys prove today that the huge lead we built against Georgia was the real Gator team and not their comeback and our near collapse. As always, take care of the ball, hit the boards hard, make free throws, guard the arc and limit fouling.
Week off to implement a zone defense, so hopefully we are ready for it. If nothing else, white can coach up defense, and muddy up a game.
Florida favored by 4. With Georgia having the week off, this will be a very difficult game to win on the road.
Not disagreeing, @Bryan85 but...... .....(just my opinion) the RIGHT COACH will know how to keep his players focused on today's game, shutting out the noise, and doing their job. Combination of keeping the players loose.....and confident....but not over-confident. Continue to do the things that have won us all these games recently. Share the ball.....play physical defense.....rebound (!).....and most of all....make your damn free throws! If that happens, we win the game period.
Yeah and we have struggled against zone defenses of late. Hope we’ve had time to work on that so it’s not a problem if they go to it.
