We're going to start a world war over a Russian national who happened to be a political dissident and was killed inside of his own country? Some of you have the blue pill on an IV.
Possibly the next Russian dissident to die in custody. Russian dissident Kara-Murza transferred to punishment cell in new prison A Kremlin critic was transferred to a Siberian prison and placed in a 'punishment cell,' lawyer says
All dissent must be silenced. Finding fault with the leader is tantamount to treason. Remind you of anyone? Hint: he's orange.
Why should anybody care what Robert Barnes says? you are destined for my ignore list but I’ll keep you up for entertainment purposes a bit longer.
Awww, that sort of talk isn't going to get you a bigger potato, formerly Stevebunchofnumbers who brags about his Twitter account that he formed earlier in the day. How much cognitive capacity did you use to come to the board and use a recently formed Twitter account as some sort of evidence that you weren't working for a Russian troll farm?
So Navalny was a CIA asset? In spite of that after being poisoned once he recovered he returned to Russia knowing full well he would be arrested and he would go to prison. Was that part of the CIA’s master plan? Who is my greatest champion? What does that even mean?
For those of you who would like to learn about who NAVALNY REALLY WAS, watch this video from 27:30 to 47:00. The lawyer on the right who appears at 24:00 has a brilliant legal mind and is an expert on elections, foreign policy., tax law, constitutional law and criminal law and more Fani Willis DEBACLE; Engoron's OUTRAGEOUS Trump Ruling; Navalny & MORE! Viva & Barnes Ep. 198
That's not what I said, okeechobee. I don't advocate starting any war. I do, however, believe in deterrent and in Russia's conscience, it's the deterrent that matters here. A splintered opposition emboldens them. Killing your chief political opponents is grade-A dictatorship. If the US looks inwards as it's tempting to do, it might help you guys now, but we'll be fixing international issues for a lot longer afterwards. If Russia gets away with Ukraine, there will be more from them, and Taiwan will be next. It's a naff deal, but you guys need to lead on this and have staunch allies who stand shoulder to shoulder with you.
Hundreds risk arrest, and Kremlin’s wrath, to lay flowers for Navalny "activists sent out safety tips for Russians wishing to lay flowers at memorials that have sprung up across the country, from St. Petersburg in the northwest to Magadan in the Far East; in the capital, Moscow, that was Navalny’s beloved home.....“Bring your passport. Keep a copy of the hotline for detainees. Bring water, a fully charged phone, and a powerbank,” one post stated......But by Sunday, the mood in Moscow, at least, had shifted, with authorities seeming to accept that it was better to allow a steady flow of people to pay their respects. Really, what harm could it cause: Their hero, and with him their hopes, was dead." MSN
A great thing is that whether or not anyone finds your arguments on Russia compelling, you will never be arrested for espousing them.
Ultra nationalist who wanted to retake Ukraine and Belarus Called immigrants "cockroaches" Grifter, criminal, traitor Never poll American citizen and journalist Gonzalo Lira was arrested, prisoned tortured in Ukraine. His crime? Honest reporting on Biden and Zelensky's corruption and how the Ukraine war was really going. Joe Biden was complicit in his death. Biden either directed that Gonzalo be imprisoned or he tacitly approved of it. Navalny was a traitor and very few Russians care that he is gone. If you want to know why you can watch the video in Reply #69. 27 minute mark to the 47 minute mark. Did you know Navalny wanted Russia to invade Ukraine and Belarus)
But if you're US citizen lGonzalo Lira reporting on the Ukraine war from Kharkov you can be imprisoned for free speech at the direction or approval of Joe Biden. The Biden administration let him get tortured in jail. He died 5 weeks ago. And you guys want to talk about Navalny? Wow
First, two wrongs don’t make a right. Finding another country doing the same thing doesn’t justify Russia’s actions, or else we could all justify just about any action by referencing Nazi Germany. “Germany murdered 6 million Jews, and you want to talk about Lira? Wow.” Second, these situations don’t seem to be exactly the same. It does appear that Lira was imprisoned for spreading propaganda about the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which I agree with you is absolutely disgraceful. It seems both Ukraine and Russia could use a lesson in free speech protections. However, their deaths don’t seem to be identical. Lira’s death was reported to be from pneumonia, which is something we have all heard of. Meanwhile, Navalny’s death was from “sudden death syndrome”, which sounds like something a 15 year old would come up with when put on the spot by his dad about what happened to the six pack that was in the fridge.
For what reason would Moscow have killed Navalny ? He was polling at 2% and was widely regarded as a traitor in Russia. I suspect he was Pfizered.
Does anyone on this board outside of those Russian bots, fox and DD, have even the remotest doubt that Putin had him killed? Of course they won't let his family or supporters have access to the body. Perhaps they will after the poison is undetectable.
Among the people on this board, who are shot through with prior hatred for Russia, did any of you mull possibilities other than Russia killing Navalny for his death ?
Trump acknowledges Navalny’s death days later, without mentioning Putin Donald Trump has offered a belated acknowledgement of the purportedly sudden death of Alexei Navalny, three days after the Russian opposition leader collapsed in one of Russia’s penal colonies. But Trump failed to join with – or acknowledge – international outrage at Navalny’s political nemesis, the Russian president, Vladimir Putin. “The sudden death of Alexei Navalny has made me more and more aware of what is happening in our Country,” Trump posted on his Truth Social network. The former US president and presumptive Republican White House nominee added: “It is a slow, steady progression, with CROOKED, Radical Left Politicians, Prosecutors, and Judges leading us down a path to destruction.” Trump’s statement, which turned a grave global political issue into one of significance to his agenda, comes one day after Nikki Haley – his lone remaining opponent in the Republican presidential primary – criticized him for avoiding substantial comment on Navalny’s death. “Either he sides with Putin and thinks it’s cool that Putin killed one of his political opponents – or he just doesn’t think it’s that big of a deal,” Haley said on Sunday on ABC News’ This Week. “Either one of those is concerning. Either one of those is a problem.”
