Welp, ugly pitching night. Hoping we can be more patient and understand we are seeing 87 and out 3-4 more on the board.

Surprised as we all know pitchers usually ahead of hitters, cool night, etc…

Hoping Sully has the short patience with pitchers this year like he did w Nesbitt last year. We got too many Arms to be overly patient. He was beyond patient w Fisher tonight.

 

The good thing about baseball is you aren't inundated with commercials - at least this game anyway.

Over half of Jameson’s sliders that missed missed high….we were taught if you miss with the slider miss in dirt.

 

Crowd showed up, but the players did not.

Wow, Sully pulls a reliever after one pitch?

 

I was looking forward to seeing Satin pitch, but not under these circumstances, for sure!

 

Pitching rotation will be tweaked a couple of times this year which isn’t that abnormal.

May see a guy coming in the bullpen to be our Friday night guy or Saturday night guy in Neely. And possibly see a freshman be one of our best pitchers this year

we cannot have Slater and Neely not be major players, and expect to make it back to Omaha

Disappointing start. This isn’t over yet. But if we lose, then hopefully we bounce back and take the series.

 

Sully must be fuming to bring a guy in and have him give up a four pitch walk.
