Poured gas on the COVID “money for all“ giveaway Trump gave momey away, Biden doubled down in it What has Biden done to help on immigration, Israel, and Ukraine?
Okay, so your argument is that Trump is so much better than Biden on inflation because Biden did what Trump did? Does that really make sense to you? Define "help" on immigration, Israel, and Ukraine? He has signed aid packages on the latter two and pushed for another one. What do you want him to do on immigration that is not inflationary?
Trump did more to cause inflation than Biden has. We're still experiencing labor shortages. One of reasons? Trump cutting the legal immigration numbers. We're short over 1 million legal workers since Trump changed the laws. Which only encourages undocumented immigration. Which Trump accomplished nothing during his four years in office in stopping, let alone slowing down. And I still fail to see how being Putin's useful idiot and bowing down to his wishes is better for us, or Ukraine. Or how Trump being more pro-Israel being better.
Maybe the flawed logic is we would have " peace" a lot sooner if we just let Pootie take whatever he wants. Begs the questions as to where does that stop? Brush up on your Russian, comrade.
I hear the MAGA boogeyman talking points all the time. But rarely do I hear any semblance of substance. 1. Tell us how Biden caused the worldwide inflation, which began serendipitously ALMOST IMMEDIATELY upon Biden taking office. 2. Illegal immigration. I will certainly agree that Trump reduced LEGAL immigration by 50%. I don’t think that was a good thing because it kept the brainpower from Venezuelans and other countries looking to better their lives, but I also will admit that is a political issue that is reasonably debated by both sides. However, show me the credible statistics that establish Trump was better at keeping the ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION under control. ILLEGAL immigration is the danger that we are facing in the border. I have yet to see any competent credible study showing Trump’s magical ability to control the illegal flow. Conversely, it appears that near the end of his term, before Covid, the illegals immigration spiked. But I will await your analysis. 3. Ukraine- If you like a leader who tries to bribe a foreign country to dig dirt on your opponent, then Trump is the leader here. If you like a leader that retaliates against a country for not serving up dirt on your opposition, then Trump is the guy. If, however, you like your leader standing with much of the world condemning the unlawful invasion and slaughter of innocents, then Biden is your guy. 4. Israel. This is really a matter of your proclivities. I think Trump’s positions are better for Israel. And yea, you are correct that Trump routinely embarrasses the United States and the Office of the Presidency with his third-grade tweets. I cannot imagine someone wanting their children to act like Trump acts.
I am sure there's a mixture. Many view him as being instrumental in a very dire spiritual battle of good versus evil where being nice is considered a weakness. For others, I guess it's a form of entertainment similar to WWE where they find fun in watching Trump play a heel or anti-hero.
I was told inflation is all due to supply chain shortages from the China Covid shutdown. Is that not the explanation any more? Seems like a million more Americans adding to demand would make inflation worse. Extra workers might help bring down the cost of labor but since we really don’t build much here any more I don’t see too much effect. (maybe in the area of agriculture) but that’s assuming they are all mostly in the fields.
It is largely due to issues with supply chains. That is why pretty much every country in the world went through it. However, the claim that Biden's actions are worse on the issue than Trump's actions is a bit absurd when admitting that Biden's actions were basically the same as Trump's. Extra labor both brings down the cost of labor and can be related to increased supply of both services and products. Immigrants are heavily represented in agriculture as well as associated industries (e.g., food manufacturing, restaurants, grocery, etc.) as well as other industries (notably, construction). However, services are priced, so the implication that somehow immigration does not have deflationary effects due to a lack of goods manufacturing, is nonsense.
If Trump were president Putin would not have invaded. Trump is against war. The Biden administration wanted war. They wanted a Ukraine with a Nazi problem to eventually have nuclear weapons that could hit Moscow in the time it takes to floss and brush your teeth. They wanted ethnic Russians cleansed from eastern and southeastern Ukraine. For years Putin told Donetsk and Luhansk (eastern Ukraine) to remain part of Ukraine. Corrupt oligarchs in Ukraine and the US had their eyes on the rich energy, minerals and farmland in the east. Some of them wanted the ethnic Russians killed or expelled.. I bet Blackrock made a fortune on this war The US destroyed Ukraine. Next, Blackrock and others (China) will rebuild Ukraine and fill pro-war politician's coffers with blood stained money. Eisenhower warned us.
If Trump were POTUS, Putin would've waited until Trump pulled us out of NATO. Then Putin would've waltzed all the way to Kiev with little to no resistance. Instead, with the help of NATO allies, Russia and Putin are bogged down in Ukraine. Russia may yet win the war, but they've already lost so much.
First, domestic manufacturing has been experiencing a boom under Biden. Second, regardless of where a product is manufactured, labor is still required to get it to a store. Remember all those cargo ships just waiting in the Pacific? One of the issues was not enough dock workers/labor to unload them. When there's a labor shortage, it creates product shortages. This creates higher prices. We currently have 3 million more job openings than unemployed. A million, legal immigrants with work permits could certainly help.
The article is an incoherent mess. It's premise is strange. Schadenfreude is the good feeling you have when something bad things happen to your enemy. We all experienced it while Willie coached in Tallahassee. What they are describing is bullying. It's not the same thing. Considering the status of the writers it evokes fremdschämen in me.
You seem like a high IQ guy 500K people are dead, mostly Ukrainians For what? No one good in geopolitical analysis thought Ukraine had ANY chance of winning the war. The more money and weapons Ukraine received the smaller it would be when the war ended on Russia's terms. Listen to this American hero who lived in Kharkov and tweeted every day. Like those of us who had a clue, he knew from the day the war began Russia would win. Because he criticized the Biden administration he is now dead. .
Ukraine was going to fight. Most thought they'd last a month at best. Here we are, we'll over a year later. Meanwhile, Russia has spent over $40 billion on the war alone, and it has cost their economy over $100 billion. Russia has also lost around 15,000 troops. We've spent much less, and haven't lost any troops. What's happening in Ukraine and to their people is tragic. But they want to fight, and have amazing resolve. Russia may ultimately win, but at quite a cost. And who knows, Ukraine may outlast Putin as a leader. Then what? Russia and Putin are weaker today because they are bogged down in Ukraine. That's a good thing.
They are. The law says that a person has the right to apply for asylum regardless of how they enter. They are enforcing that law.
Pretty much every country in the world also printed money like mad so that their locked down citizens didn’t starve. My only criticism of Biden in this area is the last “covid/stimulus/build back better” wasn’t needed and it made inflation worse.
Why didn’t Putin do it when Trump was POTUS? Trump was never going to pull the US out of NATO, he called out countries that weren’t paying their portion, Europe has enjoyed the US bankrolled military for 50 years, shouldn’t they contribute a fair amount to their own defense?
Putin was waiting for Trump to pull us out of NATO. Something former Trump advisor Bolton stated Trump would've wanted to do during a 2nd term. Pulling us out of NATO would've destabilized Europe, and allow Putin to waltz into Kiev. When Biden won, that changed Putin's plans.
