What a moron. Asking where her husband is when he is serving his country, while his own wife hasn't been seen with him since she told him he can't ride with her in the limo.

But those wearing his mark on their forehead aren't even smart enough to pick up on the stupidity of the comments.

Judge sets March trial date in Donald Trump's New York hush-money case (msn.com)
Donald Trump’s hush-money trial will go ahead as scheduled with jury selection starting on March 25, a New York judge ruled Thursday, turning aside demands for a delay from the former president’s defense lawyers.

The decision sets the stage for a case centered on years-old accusations that Trump sought to bury stories about extramarital affairs that arose during his 2016 presidential campaign. It will be the first of the four criminal prosecutions against Trump to proceed to trial.
    ............................

The hush money trial is expected to last up to six weeks, the judge said.

Assuming the New York case remains on schedule, it will open just weeks after the Super Tuesday elections, colliding on the political calendar with a time period in which Trump will be looking to mathematically sew up the Republican race and emerge as the presumptive nominee in this year’s presidential contest. His attorneys cited that schedule in vigorously objecting to the March trial date.

The March -April trial will end up as one long campaign platform where, even if he loses, his followers will think he won.

I think I read he faces “up to” 4 years, but he might also get probation. It’s the least serious crime of the 4 criminal cases he faces.

would probation require drug tests? house arrest? community service? or just reporting to the PO?

Probably? I’m don’t do criminal law, so I know only a little about these things. However, there’s also the chance he wins this case. Cohen has proven to be a bad witness, as I understand it, he is a central witness to this case.

I can usually figure out the angles even if they're silly. But what was the insinuation or upside supposed to be about Haley's husband? To counter the media speculation about Trump's marriage and where Melania has been?

Just Trump throwing crap against the wall about her marriage. Typical lowest common denominator garbage for him. His sycophants lap it up.

I'm very curious to see what happens at SCOTUS with this. Neal is an attorney I follow who I think gives fairly objective analysis on these matters and has a lot of experience with the Supreme Court. For example, he was openly critical of the arguments made by the State of Colorado legal team and complimentary of Trump's attorney in the Colorado ballot case.

From what I've seen from Neal and others, the arguments by Trump's team are legally weak and may not merit SCOTUS taking this at all, so we'll see how much weight appointing three justices carries.

Agree with you on Katyal. I think he’s argued in the SC 50+ times. He usually makes a lot of sense to this layman.
