Your memory is faulty. The race was called after all the polls had closed nationwide. It was called approximately at 11 pm. Trump tried to call it even earlier as a win for himself.

"The US Army – the world’s biggest helicopter force – dramatically took a budgetary axe to its multi-billion-dollar portfolio of rotorcraft programs last week canceling a next-generation scout helicopter as well as an effort to upgrade hundreds of decades-old transport helicopters.

An absolute bloodbath among helicopter pilots on both sides of Russia’s two-year wider war on Ukraine explains the US Army’s sense of urgency. Inasmuch as the helicopter is dying, the Ukraine war is killing it."

Although it may be a distinction without a real difference, the networks projected a Biden victory on the night of the election, they didn't call it an absolute victory until the vote count was completed in Pennsylvania several days later. By the way the the only reason that it took so long to count the votes in Pennsylvania was because the Republican controlled state legislature prohibited the counting mail-in and absentee ballots until after polls closed on election day. In Florida mail-in ballots are counted as they are received although the results aren't disclosed until the polls are closed. Florida was called for Trump by 9:30 pm on election day.

IMO the Ukraine / Russo conflict will completely change the way US military and strategic planners proceed going forward.
Tactic's, Weapon Systems, the whole Cammila will evolve rapidly.

The days of overwhelming air superiority by the US or any other nation is probably over.
The days of emphasis on heavy armor by the US or any other nation is probably over.

And this just scratches the surface.

Technology continues to improve. Will tactics?

Russia seems to cling to the old "throw more bodies at it" but I suspect this is rapidly going out of vouge, even over there.

LOL my Ukranian podcaster (Deny's) often mentions Russians smoking in restricted areas to account for all these (in Russia) "KABOOMS".

Marjorie Taylor Green gets sophisticated with Lord David Cameron of England, telling him to "kiss her ass" as a reaction to his wisdom regarding supporting Ukraine. She goes full-on trailer trash to tell him off, claiming that England should be more worried about all of the Nazis in Ukraine's Azov Regiment.

Here is an interesting argument for the "republicans who are desperately trying to stop the fentanyl trade and must stop the crossings at the Mexico border to save the nation from the fentanyl scourge". At least 90% of the fentanyl dealers in the U.S. are not crossing the Mexico border. They (90% of the fentanyl dealers) are apparently American citizens. So we are stopping funding to defend Ukraine from being overrun (and well as protecting Europe and discouraging China from invading Taiwan and controlling our future defense budgets and inflation) so that we can build a wall and, at best, put a stop to 10% of the fentanyl drug dealers? Are Congressional republicans this incredibly stupid? Talk about a manufactured crisis . . .

Putin humiliates Tucker Carlson after interview

This is hilarious. Tucker, the Putin-licking propagandist, was so desperate to please Putin that Putin found the interview boring and unchallenging. Even Putin laughed at the softball questions. lol.

I suspect Putin would have toyed with anyone we sent. Maddening, I know, but he’s sharper than many care to admit.

Denmark’s Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen made a similar statement last week. "Russia’s capacity to produce military equipment has increased tremendously," he explained.

Mysteriously vanished Russian aircraft found serving in Ukrainian army (msn.com)

As cited by the defense portal, the Russian newspaper "Izvestia" reported that the deregistered machines were sold illegally to foreign customers. Among the decommissioned aircraft are the Mi-8 helicopters and Il-76 transport planes.

The Russian-initiated investigation focuses on procedural non-compliance during operational helicopters and aircraft deregistration. Another concern that caused a scandal in Russia is that at least three of the Mi-8 helicopters were sold to Ukraine, where they were used in operations against Russia.

The investigation also uncovered that some Il-76 planes were sent to countries that the Kremlin describes as "unfriendly". These aircraft were then used to transport supplies to Ukraine, which is under combat.

In addition, parts of the deregistered machines, unfit for flight, were exported as spare parts reservoirs. They eventually ended up in Ukraine or in countries supporting Ukraine.
