TG went after Tylor Perry first. That would have been a disaster. The guy is not a true point guard. I think that TG then went after Glover. Glover is a true point guard, but he plays a different style in that the ball does not stay in his hands for very long, which might not work in this offense. There are very few ZP’s available in the portal. Maybe TG finds one, but how often do you find someone in the portal who will turn out to be one of the best players in your team’s history at his position. As for returnee point guards, we have 2 complete unknowns right now in Aberdeen and Kublickas. Maybe one of them turns out to be a stud.

For me, add Erv to great PG consideration list. A lot of great names posted, ZP included -- we might have to expand the list to 15 deep!!!

Nor has Aberdeen played well when given the chance and being Pullin will be leaving after this year, UF will again be in the market for at least one PG out of the portal this offseason.

Back to the OP, Pullin has been really good this season and is, IMO, our most valuable player.

Or what Kevarrius Hayes yelled after blocking the shot of that Wiscy player in the Sweet 16:
    "Gimme that sh*t!"

Had really hoped to see a bit more from Denzel. Not so much in shooting ( that would have been nice though), but in running the team, improved handles, and just being a floor general.

Still hoping for him to improve on those.

Loved M+M but got to say that the random blow ups and inability to play D (albeit, partially due to teammates) was difficult. For me, PG is a mixture of field general, defense, timely offense, and scoring.

    Scottie
Taurean (only not 1 b/c he had such talent around him)
    Cross
    Cheese
    Nelson

Jayson is clearly the most dynamic pg but he also was deeply erratic and only played for 1 year.. hell of a year, but we are talking body of work. Even if I was on a playground picking teams, I take Scottie and cheese over him.

You don’t have to replace Pullin with another Pullin. Next year’s team will be entirely different and will need someone different. But you can certainly find another point guard who fits your system better than Lofton did.

Exactly. Whoever wins the NCAA championship next year will not have Zyon on their roster.

I agree with you, but one of the weaknesses of this year’s team is that ZP is the only reliable ballhandler on the team.

    That we know of.
I suspect that Zublickas might be reliable, and will be in the mix at point guard next season.

ZP's stats. His Assist to Turnover ratio. His 3 Pt and FT %. Plus scoring avg. Best player on team, by far.
